Klavas 166-07 14th Road Beechhurst, NY 11357 Dear Mr. Klavas, As per your letter dated May 6, 1996, the Southold Town Board of Trustees recently inspected the new dock on the west side of Petty's Pond. The day was May 15, 1996 at our regular field inspection and the tide was fortunately very low. Although I abstained on the permit application, I. was very pleased to see that the Board granted a permit for a dock in the. only location possible. At low water, the 'float sits on the bottom of the landward side.. Its size is very modest, being only functional in its location. and positioning. After inspecting the dock the Boardd did not see how its location. or size would be improved. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call. Sincerely, Albert J. Krupski, Jr. President, Board of Trustees AJK/djh. 166-07 14th Road Beechhurst, NY 11357 June 24, 1996 Mr. Albert J. Srupski President Board of Trustees Town Hall 53095 Main Road Southold, New York 11971 Dear Mr. Krupski, I wish to inform you that I did call Mr. Peter Wenczel as you had suggested. We were not able to meet, but he said he would go on site for an inspection of the docks. I am sending you photos and maps which visually show my complaint about the floating docks that were constructed. I still feel floating docks in that area should not be allowed because they make the channel too narrow. They prohibit the property owners in that area from having a free passage for their boats. After your inspection, kindly return to me photos and maps. Sincerely, Gus C. Klavas Gl Y 166-07 14th Road Beechhurst, NY 11357 May 6, 1996 'f"({t l J ;I Mr. Albert J. The regulations, which other property owners were required to abide by (see copy of deed) , state that a dock should not exceed five feet East of the property line. These docks, with the boats to be docked on them, will be in the channel area, interfering with the passage of boats owned by eight other property owners who are entitled access to the channel. I would appreciate it if you look into this matter and respond to my concerns. Sincerely, Gus C. The Council recommends disapproval of this as an amendment. The project does not amend and is out of the scope of the permit issued. The Council recommends that the Trustees require that Mr. Mautner apply for a permit for the deck. The CAC would recommend approval for that permit. 2055 Bayshore Road, Creenport Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion carried. 6/2 Prop&-T Permit Services POST OFFICE BOX 617, CUTCHOGUE, NEW YORK 11935-0617 (516)7;34-5800 JUN 2 91995 June 28, 1995 T0WN OF So, THOL PJ President Board of Town Trustees Town of Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road Southold, New York 11971 Re: Application for David Cichanowicz; SCTM#1000-66-3-16 Dear Sir: As was suggested by the Board, the project has been revised so that the total area of the float(s)is 120 square feet and the project may therefore be classified as Type H under the Trustees'guidelines.
