Gillispie, Jr.,.Chairman Robert Bergen M I N ,U T E S Herbert Rosenberg Charles Gregonis, Jr. Serge Doyen, Jr. Southold Town Board of Appeals April, 17, 1958 A regular meeting of the Southold Torn Board of Appeals was held at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 17, 1958, in the Town Clerk's_Office, Southold, N. Y. There were present: Messrs. Robert W. Gillispie, Jr., Chairman; Robert Bergen and Charles Grigonis, Jr. Also present: Mr. Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector . The Chairmen opened the meeting by advising the members of the Board that he had received a telephone call at 7:15 P.M. from Mrs. John Koroleski of Sound Acres Nursery, Mattituck, New York, asking that Mr. and Mrs. John Koroleski and Miss Rose Koroleski's names be removed from the petition on record against Appeal No. 47 (application of Arnold S. Sacks, Mattituck, N.Y.) because of misrepresentation. Mfrs. Koroleski stated that she was told that several hundred laborers would be housed in the camp and that she would not be able to shop in the stores in N,attituck if this camp was permitted. PUBLIC HEARING: Appeal No. 57 - Application of Thomas Delaney, 66-05 74th Street, Middle Village, N.Y., for a variance to the zoning Ordinance under Article III, Section 303. Location of property: Lot No. 119, 90' front with 103' rear x depth of 1381/1421, Holden Avenue and Midwood Road, Fleet Estate, Cutchogue, N. Y. Chairman read the application for the variance, legal notice with affidavit of publication from the Long Island Traveler-Mattituck Watchman and, copy of letter to Mt. Brook Builders, Agent for Mr. Delaney, advising of date of public hearing. Chairman: Is there anyone present who wished to speak "for" this appeal? Mr. Wysong of Peconic stated that he and Mrs. Wysong were present as repre- sentatives of the Home Owners Association of Fleets Neck and that they wanted to determine whether the only exception applied for was because the lot was 90 feet instead of 100 and stated further that he saw no reason for objection as long as the applicatnt did not go out of line otherwise. - 2 _ Southold Town Board of Appeals April 17, 1958 MINUTES, Continued Chairman: There being no one present to speak "against" this appeal I believe the Board is ready to make their decision. The appeal was granted, unanimously. On motion duly made by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. Bergen, and carried, minutes of the April loth meeting were approved. PUBLIC 11EAR.ING: Appeal No. 29 — Application of Theodore Mureheek, 90--29 212th Street, Queens Village, N. Y., for a variance to the zoning Ordinance under Article III, Section 303. Location of property: Lot No. 36, 75' x 150' on Bay Avenue and Ha3nvater Drive, Cutchogue, N. Y. Chairman stated that this hearing had been recessed from September 26, 1957 due to lack of sufficient information regarding this application. Mr. Terry presented additional information which had been received from Mr. Murcheck and the Board reviewed the application and file covering the appeal. It was the unanim&us decision of the Board to grant the appeal. Some discussion was held in regard to special exceptions on applications for the storage of dynamite and high explosives. It was suggested by Mr. Terry that the Board might obtain from the Sheriff's office the State regulations with regard to the storing of dynamite and he advised that he would attend to this. The Secretary was requested to write the Broome County Director of Planning, Binghamton, N. Y., for a copy of that County's manual on Planning, Zoning and Enforcement.
