A regular meeting of the Southold-Town Board of Appeals was held at 700 .
P.M. on Thursday, August 21, 19581 in the Town Clerk's Office, Southold, New
York.
There were presents Messrs. Robert W. Gillispie, -Tres Chairman; Herbert
Rosenberg, Robert Bergen and Charles Grigonis, Jre
Absent: Mr. Serge Doyen, Jr.
Also present: Mr. Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector.
PUBLIC HEARING: Appeal Noe 84 — Application of George .G. Wetmore, Island
View Lane, Arshamomaque, Greenport, N. Y., fora special exception under the
Zoning Ordinance to relocate ant'advertising sign. Fee paid — $15.00*
Chairman read the application, letter to Mr. Wetmore advising of date of
public hearing, legal notice and affidavit from the local newspaper attesting
to publication and letter from Mr. William Wiokham, attorney, to Mr. Wetmore
consenting to the erection of the sign by the owners of the property.
There was no one present who wished to speak either for or against the
appeal.
Board unanimously agreed to grant the special exception to relocate the
sign at the North side of Main Road, opposite Kerwin Blvd*, Arshamomaque,
Greenport, N. Ye Sign to be at least five feet from any property line and
permit valid until revoked. Sign is being moved 55 feet north of the present
location to a site selected by the engineering department of the State Highway
Dept*
Minutes' of -the August 14th meeting were read. On motion duly made by
Mr. Rosenberg, seconded by Mr. Bergen, and carried, minutes were approved as
submitted*
Neat meeting of the Board is scheduled for August 28th at 7:30 P.M*
Meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M.
