be granted permission to place an onshore-offshore mooring, in
Mattituck Creek at the foot of Bayview"Avenue';' Mattituck; ''New''York,

the originating application. Fee $51000.

Board determined that the moorings are in Town waters, and "a`permit

On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that Donald Alfano, 900 Corey Creek Lane, Southold, New
York be granted permission to placena,n offshore anchor with pully
line to onshore stake in Corey Creek at the foot of Corey Creek
Lane, Southold, New York, all ''in accordance with the detailed

specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5. 00.
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith; Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson,
Mr. Gordon.
On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was
RESOLVED that Daniel L. Sims, . Corey Creek Lane, Southold, New York,
be granted permission to place an onshore-offshore mooring in Corey
Creek at the foot of Corey Creek Lane, Southold, New York, all in
accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the
originating application. Fee $5.00.

Mr. Gordon.
Mr. David Ackerman appeared before the Board to represent his
application for a mooring permit.
On motion ,of Mr:. Horton, seconded by Mr. Johnson, it. was .
RESOLVED .that. David Ackerman., Beach Drive., Lloyd Harbor, New York
and Bay Avenue, Mattituck, be granted permission- to place a 250 lb.
mushroom mooring in James Creek, in front of his own property on
Bay Avenue, Mattituck, New York, all in accordance with the detailed
specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5.00.

Mr. Gordon.
Mr. Russell K. Redhead appeared before the Board to represent his
application for a mooring permit.
On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by 4rr.. _Johnson, .it was

Water;: Southold.,,..ibe grantedi`permission to place,-an onshore=offshore
mooring-. in Corey Creek at the foot of Opechee Avenue where the Warren
M. McGregor mooring was placed, all in accordance with the detailed
specifications.-as: .presented -in,the originating application. No fee,
McGregor mooring good until May 1, 1974.

application for a mooring permit:
On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Gordon; it was

granted permission to place: an._onshore-offshore mooring in Orient
Creek, in front of the property of John B. Tuthill, with Mr. Tuthills
permission, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as

Mr- Clement T. Brown-appeared before the Board to--represent his

On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was
RESOLVED that Clement T. . Brown, Knollwood Lane, Mattituck, New
York, be granted permission to place an offshore mooring in
Mattituck Creek at fhe foot of Knollwood Lane, Mattituck, New
York, all in..accordance. with the detailed . specifications as
presented in the application:. Fee $5. 00.

On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that the . following notice be placed in the Suffolk Times
and Long Island Traveler :
"ATTENTION is called to the fact that boats moored in Town
waters must'- secure a permit for said mooring from the Board
of Southold Town Trustees. Failure to. do so is a violation
of the "SOUTHOLD TOWN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PLACING OF
OBSTRUCTIONS IN AND ON TOWN WATERS AND PUBLIC. LAND, AND THE
REMOVAL OF SAND, GRAVEL OR OTHER MATERIALS FROM LANDS UNDER.
TOWN WATERS. " The above ordinance also applies to fixed or
floating .docks, bulkheads, dikes, jetties , and-. any dredging
or filling operation in Town .Wc-;iers. "

Mr. Alex Porianda appeared before the Board to represent his applica-
tion for a mooring-. permit.
On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that. Alex Porianda., 280 Wood End. Way, Southold, New York,
be granted permission to place an.. offshore mushroom mooring -in
Goose Creek at the foot of Wodd End Way, "Southwood" , Southold,
all in accordance with the detailed specifications a& presented
in the originating application. -Fee $5.. 00.

Mr. Gordon.
Mr. Charles V. Raynor, 19 Sound Road, Greenport, and Mrs. ' Sarah E.
Raynor, 319 Champlin Place, Greenport, appeared before the Board to
present their applications for. mooring. permits at Narrow River, .
Orient. The Board advised them that they are not issuing any more
permits at Narrow River until it has been cleared of abandoned boats
and boats without permitss However, Mr. Robertson. of the Town
Trustees and Bay Constable Januick ..a.re working on this at. the present
time, and as soon as the area is clear their applications will be
among .the first considered.
On motion of .Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr.' Johnson, it was
. RESOLVED . that Robert S. Kramkowski, .Gedar Drive, Southold, New York,
be granted permission to place an onshore-offshore mooring- in Town
Creek, at the foot of Pine Neck Road, Southold, all in accordance
with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating
application. Fee $51.000

floating, dock .8 , ft. by 32.,ft. :,;and .4 ft. by„5 ft. ,-;with ,6 double

from in front of the existing bulkhead at the applicant ' s property
on Jockey. Creek, ,.off ,Calves. Neck Road, , ,Southold, New York, all in

Mrs. Harold Taubin, Mr. John Sporgenberger and Mr. Albert F. Tramposch
and family appeared before the Board to seek relief from the problem
of water skiiers at Founders Landingwho come within a few feet ,of
the shore and many near accidents. have occurred with simmers as well
as boaters. --The Board advised those present that the situation is
out of the...jurisdiction of .the..Board of Town .Trustees, but the Board
would advise the .Southold .Town Board .of the situation-,. and recommend
that someone -be .posted .at the Founders Landing,,area . on a permanent
basis, ,:and that .Section 7 (c) ,of.,the .Boating.,Ordinance as it .pertains
to distances for water .skiing be strictly enforced before a _tragedy
occurs.
Mr. —William P. . Schbtt appeared before4,the Board; to submit .his
application for a mooring- permit.. -
On motion, of Mr. Johnson;, .,seconded. .by Mr. Horton, it .was
RESOLVED . that William -P. ..Schott, ,4010 Stars Road, East Marion, New
York be granted permission, to place. an onshore_offshore mooring in
Dam Pond, off Route 25, East Marion, New York, .all in accordance
with the detailed,. specifications as .presented in the originating
application. Fee $5..00.

Mr. Conrad..J..,:Volinski; -Shipyard• .Lane, .East Marione appeared before
the Board- to present his application for a mooring permit at Narrow
River, Orient. --Mr. Volinski: was advised, . as .were Charles Raynor
and Sarah Raynor., that Mr., Robertson and Bay, Constable ,Januick are
working on clearing the Narrow River area of abandoned boats and
boats without permits, and his application would be considered when
there .is space available.

RESOLVED- that- Cheryl Pagno2zi, -Jockey Creek" Drive; - Southold, New
York be granted permission to construct "a ramp 3 - ft. ' by- 12 "ft. �
float-'.6 ft. by 18 ft. , with 4 pilings in front of her property
on Jockey Creek, off Jockey"Creek Drive, Southold, New York,
all in- `accordance with-the-detailed -specifications' as presented'
in the originating application. .- -Fee $18.40.

On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Johnson, it was
RESOLVED that' John W. Vogel, Waterview Drive, Southold, New York
be granted permission to construct'�a dobk :4 ft. by 32 ' ft. , ramp
4 ft: by 14 ft. and float 6- ft. by 20 ft-.; with' 2 -.,pilings -at -his
property on Goose Creek, off Waterview Drive, Southold, all in
accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the
originating application'. - "Fee'- $32 .40.

An' appl.ication for a quit claim was submitted to the Board by
Augustus C. Garelle covering an area in front of his property on
Westphalia Road;- "Mattituck; filled by -dredging done by- the"County
of'- Suffolk some- years ..ago. - Mr. __Garelle now'-request that the Town
Trustees quit claim this waterfront strip so he will have a clear
title. "
On motion of Mr. Johnson; seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that a quit claim deed be granted to Augustus C. Garelle,
Westphalia Road, Mattituck, New York', covering--.the- following
described property:
ALL that- certain plot, piece -or parcel -of land, situate
lying and being- at" Mattituck;- -in the -Town of Southold,
County of Suffolk and State of New York, bounded and
--described as' follows := -
BEGINNING at a point on the ordinary high water mark
of Mattituck Creek as found in 1947 , marking the
boundary line between land of the party of the second
part on the northwest and land of Fred D. Olmstead, Jr.
on the southeast, said point being North 590 31 ' 40"

RESOLVED that the Board of Southold Town -Trustee minutes of
July 2, 1973 be approved as submitted.

On' motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was
RESOLVED that the next Board of Southold Town Trustees meeting
will be held at 7 :30 P.M. , Thursday, September 6, 1973 at the
Town Board meeting room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York,
and it was further
RESOLVED that a notice of this meeting be placed in the Suffolk
Times and Long Island Traveler on August 30, 1973 .
