E S BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES Meeting of July '2 , 1973 A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was held at 7 :30 P.M. , Monday, July' 2 , 197'3 at. the Town Board meeting room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, with the 'following' present: Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman Douglas M. Robertson Philip G. Horton Rudolph 'Johnson Frederick"t. Gordon "Judith T. Boken, Secretary Also present: Mrs. Evelyn` S:'' Gordon, representing the North. Baydala, Oak Avenue,- Southold, appearedbefore the Board- to present' her a.pplicatiori ''for''a mooring at Goose Creek: On motion of Mr:* Horton, '- seconded by Mr. Gordon; it was RESOLVED that Ann 'G. Baydala, Oak Avenue, Southold; New'York, be granted permission to use onshore-offshore mooring #32, on Goose Bay Association map, in front of the property of Margaret K. Bible, Oak Avenue, on Goose Creek, Southold, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as' preserited in the' originating applica- tion. Fee $5 00. Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Gordon. Mr. Norbert Rademacher, 85-25 66 Road, Rego Park; ' NewYork' appeared before the Board to present his application for a dock at his property on Oak Aven ue, _ Southold. On motion of Mr: Gordon, 'seconded by. Mr. Robertson, it. was RESOLVED that Norbert Rademacher, ' Oak"Avenue,' Southold; New York, be 'granted permission to` en'l'arge existing dock on 'his property on Goose Creek, off Oak Avenue, Southold, by 30 sq. ft'. , all 'in accord- ance with .the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Lizewski, Depot 'Lane, .,C_.utchogue, New York, 85 be granted permission to place five (5) mooring piles in front of his property on Eugene Creek, off Fleetwood Road, Cutchogue, New York, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Robertson, it was RESOLVED that Mary Edelmann, Grand Avenue, Mattituck, New York, be granted permission to maintain existing dock (since 1915) 22 ft. by 41-2 ft.-on Long Creek branch of Mattituck Creek, off Long Creek Bridge Road, Mattituck, New York, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $1.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Gordon. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Johnson, it was RESOLVED that Robert W. Foster, 315 South Street, Greenport, New York, be granted permission to place an onshore-offshore mooring. in - Arshamomaque Pond at the south end of Bayview Avenue, Southold, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5.09. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Gordon. The Board examined the application of William A. Smith, Bay View ' Avenue, Mattituck, for a mooring permit at the foot of Bay View. Avenue, Mattituck. Mr. Smith failed.. to appear before the Board to. represent his application, and the Board does not agree with the. placement of the mooring. Mr. Johnson will discuss the matter with Mr. Smith and report to the Board at. the :next meeting. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was RESOLVED that Richard Bird, Mattituck, New York, be granted permission to place an onshore-offshore mooring in-. Mattituck. Creek- at the foot of Bay Viewk,Avenue-,! Mattituck, all in accord- anee with the detailed' speci.fi.ca-tions as .presented in the originating application. Fee $5 . 00. Mr. Robert Wilkinson appeared before the Board to present his applica- tion for a mooring permit and to answer any questions the Board might have on the applications of Anthony F. Volinski Sr. and Antone Volinski Jr. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded`'-by Mr: Johnson-, . it: was RESOLVED that- Robert L. Wilkinson, Oaklawn, Avenue Extension, -Southold, New York be granted permission- to place an- onshore-offshore mooring in Narrow River, Orient, off Narrow River Road, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating 86 application. He. referred to. a complaint made by,..Mr., John Moli#or, , Cleaves Point, who. feels there are too many boats moored in the Gull .Pond. area now. - . Mr Ziegler stated- that he.. has been keeping a close watch on the moorings and feels there is sufficient room for additional moorings, and. he is presently working on a chart of the moorings with an engineer and will submit a copy to the Trustees..when it is .completed... On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it .was RESOLVED that Nikitas Zervos, 354 80th Street, + Brooklyn, New York, owner of lot 51, Cleaves Point, on Osprey Nest Road, Greenport, be granted permission to place an offshore mushroom mooring in Gull Pond, off Snug. Harbor Road,. Green_port,, New York., all in. accordance with. the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5..00. Phillips, Mill Road, Mattituck to the Army Corps of Engineers, and the North Fork Environmental Council to the Dept. of Environmental Conservation;,, each objecting to the East Coast Mines, Inc. proposed bulkheading and barge operation, transporting sand and gravel from Quogue to Mattituck Inlet, then. on to Connecticut by barge. (The Board is holding in abeyance an application for maintenance dredging by John C. Kiffer, Jr. for Millburn .Holding Corp. pertaining to this same matter. ) The Secretary was instructed to arrange a meeting with Mr. Daniel J. Larkin, Regional Supervisor of Environmental- Analysis,.
