The regular meeting of the Southold- Town Trustees was called to order at the Town Clerk office, Southold, New York, on Monday, September 27, 1965, at 1i30 P.M. with the following present: Alvah B. Goldsmith, president Frank Dawson John ?. McNulty George Simpson Philip Weiler Marion Regent, Secretary Mrs. Yolanda Robbins and Mr.. Herold Crowell of Deep Hole Creek, Matt- ituck, N.Y. appeared before the Board representing the Deep Hole Property Owners Association 'to apply .for a permit to dredge a channel in Deep Hole Creek 750 feet by 30 feet which had been filled in as a result of the County dredging. After discussion the Board agreed to grant this permit for $15.00 since it was a project which would benefit the whole town. The Trustees approved the dredging in West Creek, New Suffolk, as applied for by the Department of Public Works. No fee was charged as this is to be done by the. County dredge. Mr. Paul Stoutenburgh appeared before the Board to explain more fully the protest of 100 property owners of the proposed dredging operations by the Department of Public Works in Broadwater Cove, Mud Creek and East or Eugene Creek, Cutchogue, New York.. After a lengthy discussion it was decided" to hold a public hearing on the dredging project in that area in the East Cutchogue School, Main Road, Cutchogue, New York, on Monday, October 18, 1965, at 7:30 P.M. at which time all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. A letter to this .effect was written to the Department of Public Works, Mr . R. M. Kammerer, Commissioner, and to . Supervisor Lester M. Albertson. Notices of the public hearing were placed in the Southold Traveler, Inc., Southold, N.Y. and the Suffolk Weekly .Times, Greenport, N.Y. The application of Mr. A. .T. Cassar Southold, ,N.Y. , to erect a bulk- head 74 feet in .front of his property at .Cedar Beach .was approved. Fee $18.50. Ad j ournment. Marion.A. Regent, Secretary Southold Town Trustees
