MEETING OF MAY 23, 1960.
A regular meeang of the Town Trustees was called to order at 4 P.M.
at the Town Clerk' s Office by President Emmons Dean.

Application of SIDNEY OLMSTED for permission to erect a dock on
his property in Mattituck Creek was approved, Fee $10.00.
Application of JOSEPH & IDA RASSY to erect a new dock 35 feet
long and 4 feet wide to replace - an old dock was approved. Fee $10.00.
Application of W. R. WICKHAM for permission to erect a bulkhead to
restore the old shore line where erosion has taken place in front
of his property on Deep Hole Creek was read. Approximately 50 feet
of bulkheading is requested. Application granted. Fee $10.00.
Application of RAYMOND W. TERRY, JR. for permission to erect a dock
12 feet long and 3 feet wide in front of his property on Jockey
Creek was read. Application approved. Fee $10.00.
It was decided by the Board that a letter be written to MR. FREDERICK
R. KETCHAM advising him that an application must be submitted to
the Board of Trustees showing in detail the proposed work on his
property on Mattituck Creek for approval before the work is started,
as this project comes under the jurisdiction of the Southold-,'Town
Trustees.
Application of GEORGE SCHMIDT for permission to erect 2 stakes in
front of his property on Mattituck Creek was tentatively approved
to be confirmed at the next meeting.
The question of the jurisdiction of the Town Trustees over the
placing of stakes for boats atthec fbft of Town Highways in the
Bay was discussed and Town Counsel was to be consulted as to this
problem.
Applicationsof the following people for permits to erect stakes off
the Park property on Town Creek were considered: Frank Lekich,Douglas
Conklin, Alma Cummings, John Peters, and Carl Butkovich. Mhe Board
decided to grant the permits subject to inspection of the site and
determination of the location of the respective applications. Mr.
ARTHUR JONES, who was granted a permit last year, wrote the Board
that his stake had been pulled out and another put in its place and
another boat had taken over his locatio T�hh B rd will order .this
