MINUTES OF TOWN TRUSTEE MEETING JANUARY 31 19510

A meeting of the. Board of Town Trustees was called to order
at 2 P.M.. , -Tuesday, January 3', 1956, at the Southold Town
Clerk's Office.
Present: Emmons Dean
John McNulty[
Frank Dawson_
Alvah B. Goldsmith
Mahon Winters, Sec,
Mr. Dean announced the death of, our 'colleague, Mr. Lyle F. '
Tut_hill. and the Board was asked to bow their heads n a moment
of- silent prayer in his memory. It was regularly voted that
a suitable resolution of sympathy be drawn and included in the
minutes and a copy sent to the family of -our late colleague,
Lyle F. Tuthill. Following is the letter:
Dear Mrs. Tuthill,
At a meeting of the Town Trustees which
was held on January 39 1956, the following resolution was
'duly adopted by a unanimous vote of the Trustees:
WHEREAS, God, in His Providence has taken from our midst
the Spirit of Lyle F. Tuthill, and
WHEREAS , Lyle F. Tuthill served the Town of. Sov,thold as •its
1 Trustee faithfully and efficiently for a term of nine years,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Trustees of the
Town of Southold deeply mourn the passing of this associate
and friend and extend their profound sympathy, to .the members .
of his family in their bereavement, 'and that when this Board
of Trustees adjoins ,this day, it do .so _out of respect to the
memory of. Lyle F. Tuthill:

"Mr. Dean thanked the Board for their cooperation during the
past years and promised this best efforts during the .coming year.
Minutes of the previous meetings were read for information.
The formal permit to �derick__.Boergesson, was signed by the Board..
The next meeting will be�hed at 4p.m. on Tues . , Jan. 31, 1956.
