MINUTES OF TOWN TRUSTEE MEETING MAY 11, 195-5._
TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE SOUTHOLD, NEW YORK
A meeting of the Town Trustees was called to order by President
Emmons Dean at )+ p.m. , Wednesday, May 11, 1955 at the Town
Clerk's Office, Southold.

Applicat4,on of Henry M. Pederson, Robert S. Koeh and Donald
Cyriacks or permission to aredge along a sou erly end of
Mario-make, north of Rabbit Lane, to build up the shore line
and remove mudeand grass for a distance of approximately 50
feet from present shore line was received. The application
was approved, the fee to be $10.00 for each applicant or a
total of $30.00.

erty and to use the dredged materials to make a sandy beach
was read. This property is near the mouth of an existing
channel paralleling the general shore line of Gardiners Bay k
north of the breakwater at Sandy Beach leading to Fordham's
Lake. The application was approved, the fee to be $10,00,
Application of Gerald Hommel�for permission to dredge along
his property line in Marion Lake, to remove mud and grass and
create a gradual sandy beach with dredging to extend approx-
imately 50 feet from present shore line was made in person �t
at previous meeting. This request was granted pending receipt
of formal application, th fee to be $10.00
Application of Inez Vail for permission to make a channel
in Jockey Creek about 20 feet wide extending from the end of
her dock at Jockey Creek to the main channel of Jockey Creek,
a distance of approximately 200 feet, said channel to be 2
to 3 feet deep, was received. The Board having looked over
this property last week, the application was granted, the fee
to be $10.00.
Application of Joseph P. Ulrich for permission to dredge a
channel in Jockey Creek and to erect catwalks or docks was
again discussed. The Board has visited this property on
two occasions and Mr. Raymond G. Terry appeared to explain
his understanding of the proposed work. The Board feels that
until the differences between the adjoining property owner,
Raymond Terry, and Mid. Ulrich are settled with respect to
the. northerly boundaries of the proposed channel and dock or

catwalk that the application must be held in abeyance. The e-:
existing drain or channel should not be restricted as to its
use and flow to other adjoining property owners.
A new application with detailed dimensions should be filed
showing these corrections and with written consent fvom
Raymond G. Terry and G. W. Smith & Sons , Inc. , the affected
adjoining property owners.
The application of Ralph G. Reed was laid on the table
pending submission to the Board of a more detailed map and
description of the proposed work. Mr. Reed was -to be notified
that this information was required before any action can
be taken.
The minuted were read and approved.
The meeting adjourned at 6 P.M. .
