A meetinVof the Town Trustees of Southold was held at the
Town Clerk's Office on Tuesday, April 26, 1955 at 4 P.M.
Present: Emmons Dean
Frank Dawson
John McNulty
Alvah B. Goldsmith
Marion Winters
Rensselaer Terry, Jr. , Town CounSel
Mr. Joseph Ulrich was present and presented an application to
dredge at The—R—eNd of Jockey Creek beginning 200' f6Vm the Main _
Road extending approximately 500' in a general easterly direction,
approximately 401wide to the easterly line of his property, said
channel to be 3 to 4 feet deep. This channel is to run along the
northerly portion of his property to approximately the existing
drain. The Board was to inspect this property before taking action.
Mr. Latham of E$st Marion appeared before the Board to request
permiss on on the part of some of the property owners on Marion
Lake to dredge the filled in portions adjacent to their property
caused by the hurricanes.
A special meeting of the Town Trustees is to be held on Tuesday,
May 3rd, 1955, at )+ o 'clock at Village Hall, Greenport, to mamine
properties at Marion Lake and at 4:30 to examine property of 'Mike
Capuano before acting on applications for permits to dredge. .
It was moved, seconded and carried that permits be granted
to County of Suffolk to dredge in Mattituck Creek as per plans
submitted , without fee as this is an area improvement project.
Application of Ralph G. Reed was laid on the table for an in-
spection next week.
Application of Inez Vail for permit to dredge in Jockey Creek
was held over for inspection next week.
Minutes were read and approved .
The meeting adjourned at 6:15 P.M.
