HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-12/06/1965 v,'T�°L 'e MEETING OF DECEMBER 6, 1965. The Southold Town- Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office, Southold, N.Y. on December ,6, 1965 at 1:40 P.M. Present: Alvah Goldsmith, President Frank Dawson John F. McNulty George Simpson Marion Regent, Sec. Mrs. Andrew Hall also attended the meeting. She picked up the material and pictures left by Paul Stoutenburgh in relation to the dredging of Broadwaters Cove, East Creek and Mud Creek. The ,minutes of October 25th and November 1, 1965 were approved by-the Board as read. Mr. Goldsmith reported that the had followed up the request to have clams removed from the areas to be dredged and was advised by Sandy Carlson, President of Baymen's Association, that there were no' clams in these areas. as they had been moved recently. Mr. Goldsmith reported complaints had been made in relation to dredging in Matt_ ituck Harbor near Harbor Inn. The Trustees will investigate. The Organization meeting of the Town Trustees will be held on Monday, January 3, 1966, at 1:30 P.M, at the Town Clerk Office, Southold, N.Y. A letter received from Mrs. J. Edward Ross of Cutchogue, N.Y. relating to the dredging project was answered as follows: (see opposite page) The meeting was recessed at 1:45 P.M. to allow the Trustees to review property. 3:45 P.M. The Trustees inspected the operation on Mattit uck Creek being done by Mr. Frank Novack. Mr. Novack was there and described the change in plans he had made due to the request of the Army Engineers. He was advised to submit a new application showing,,the details and dimensions of the contemplated construct- ion for the consideration of the Trustees in order that the ' necessary permits might be furnished if all was found to be in order. For the information of those concerned, the present filled area is only a temporary ramp to permit the crane to dig an area in to the proposed floating gas dock and is not to be left but will all be dredged out again to the original proposed bulkhead line.
