Town Trustee Meeting July 71 1958
A special meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called
to order at 4:15 P.M. on July 71 1958, at the Southold
Town Clerk's Office.

Frank Dawson

Marion Regent
Supervisor Norman E. Klipp
Town Counsel Robert Tasker
Howard Terry, Building Inspector
Application of S6UTHOLD DEVELOPMENT CORP. for a permit. .
to dredge meadow land on their property on Goose Creek
was read and discussed. Permit granted. Fee $25.00.
Application of GOOSE NECK PROPERTY OWNERS% G. W. SMITH
& SONS INC . Southold, for permission to dredge meadow ► Vj
land along their shore frontage on Goose Creek was read.
Application granted. Bee $25.00.
A lengthy discussion was held on the proposed ordinance
relating to the mooring of boats in Town Waters and at
the end of public highways . The proposed ordinance was -
turned over to Town Counsel for revision and for public
hearing. A copy of the proposed Ordinance to be incorp-
orated in these mintties.

REGULATING" THE MOORING OF

OBSTRCTIONS IN AND ON TOWN I
I WATERS AND .PUBLIC LANDS _
Section 1. No person shall place_any _
piles, stakes, buoys, piers, docks or
1 other objects in or on any town waters
or public lands under or adjacent to T,
town-waters in the Town of Southold ;
without first obtaining a permit there-
for from the Board of Trustees o�f the y.

Section 2:No person shall moor, an,-
chor or place any boat on any public
i lands at the end of any town highway '
in the Town "of Southold for.:a.longer
period than 24 hours.
i I Section 3-. The Board of Trustees of
Ithe Town of Southold is hereby auth-
orized and empowered to issue re-
vocable permits for the placing of piles,
stakes, buoys, piers, docks or other .
objects in or on any town waters or
i'pubblic lands under or adjacent to town _
I waters provided that the same do not i
obstruct or interfere" with navigation
or the public use of said waters or ,H ;
i lands.
Section 4. Any violation of the pro-.,S':
visions of this Ordinance shall con-
stitute an offense and shall be punish-
able by a fine of not more than$50.00.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take.y
