Southold, New York June 309 1958.
A regular meeting of Southold Town Trustees was cAl,led to order
at the Southold Town Clerk's Office at 4 P.M.

Mr. Mercer of Sealshipt Corp. , Greenport, N.Y. , appeared before
the' Board to present his ideas on collectors of seed oysters
to be tried out in various creeks of the Town as an experiment
to determine the potential possibility of collecting natural
seed oysters in Town waters of Richmonds Creek off Town Park
on bar; Goose Creek outside of Bridge on bar; Arshamomaque
Creek along easterly bank opposite Reit'ers ' Sea Food Barge.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the Town Trustees
cooperate with Mr. Mercer in an experiment for the collection
of seed oysters in Town waters if approved by Town `'ounsel
and that the Town Board be requested to supply three signs
to be placed on the areas describing the experiment by order
of the Town Trustees .
.Application of MADOLYN FLEET BARTEAU and KATHRYN FLEET
for permission to reconstruct a dock on Wickham's Creek on
their property 24' long 3 ' wide and 15' above high water was
read. Permit granted - fee $10.00.
Application of BOATMAN'S HARBOR' INC. for permission to redredge
the channel entrance of Wickham's Creek was read. Permission
granted. If this is a cooperative project with the Town partic-
ipating in the cost the fee shall be $+.1.00, otherwisEv the fee
is to be $25.00.
(.Application of HENRY & KATE MARKS for permission to erect a
dock on their property on Mattituck Creek overall length
40' x 4' wide 1" above high water was read. Application
granted , fee to be $10.00.
Application of LESTER C. CORN.ELIUS and JOAN ROAN for permission
to erect a dock on their property off Deep Hole Drive on Deep
Hole Creek, Mattituck, was read. Permit granted. Fee $10.00.
.Application by letter from J#a�eweta Pond Association for
permission to do maintenance dredging oT the en ranee to
Wunneweta Pond wgs read. In as much as this permit was previous-
ly granted and since this dredging is to be partially financed
by the Town Board, the Board of Trustees on motion unanimously
carried , waived all objections and granted approval, without
benefit of a formal additional permit.
.Application of C. B. S. MARR for permission to dredge was read
and since the Board is to meet again next week it was decided
to have members of the Board of Trustees inspect the property
and report back at this meeting.

A proposed TOWN' ORDINANCE for the control of the use of Town
waters was discussed at length and it was decided to call a
special meeting on July 71 for the further discussion of this
Ordinance. Town Counsel Tasker and Supervisor Klipp were to be
asked to attend this meeting.
It was moved seconded hnd carried that the fee of $10.00
assessdeto MORTON & ROSALIND PHILLIPS be waived in conform-
ity to the request made by them that they had previously
received a permit and had paid $10.00 for it at that time.
The present dock approved by the Board on May 26, 1958 was
for reconstruction of this same dock. It was for this reason
that the Board agreed to waive the fee in this instance.
