MINUTES
BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES
Meeting of November 10, 1975
A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was
held at 7: 30 P.M. , Monday, November 10, 1975, at the Town Board
meeting room, 16 South Street, .Greenport, New York, with the
following present-:
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman
Douglas M. Robertson
Frederick E. Gordon
George C. Bird
Betty Neville, Secretary
Absent: Philip Horton
Also present: Wm.& Lorraine Terry, North Fork Environmental
Council; Paul Stoutenberg _(jNFEC) Bob Rinklin-L. I. Traveler
Mr. Gordon reported that he had inspected the mooring location
for application of. Stanley Grezesik, for offshore mushroom
mooring in .Gull Pond, Greenport, N.Y. He stated that his
investigation proves that this is a reasonable request.
However, this application will fill the area to its capacity
for- moorings.
On motion by Mr. Goldsmith, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED that StanleV Grezesik, Inlet Lane Extension, P.O. Box
485., Greenport, N.Y. -.(winter mailing address: 263 Getz -Avenue,
Stater' Island, N.Y. 10312) be granted permission to place
offshore mooring (150 lb. mushroom anchor) in Gull Pond.,
Greenport, N.Y. , all in accordance with the detailed specification,-,
as presented in the originating application. Fee paid $5.00.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
The Board discussed, the moorings at Dam Pond, East Marion,
relevant to letter received from Robert W. Gillispie, Jr. -
dated 'July 18, 1975- Mr. Gillispie (attorney-in-fact for
/Marion S. Gillispie requested that the mooring permit. of
✓ Percy Hommel(7/7/75l and William P. Schott($/0/73) be rescinded
and that no additional permits be granted over this private
property without the permission of the owner of record. This
matter had been referred to the Town Attorney for his recommend-
ation. The Board tabled determination on this matter for
further investigation.
The Chairman read the new amended application for dredging
submitted by A.B. Rosenberg and the 11Attachmentfto Application
of A.B. Rosenberg, Nov. 19, 1975_ which states that when the
silt and mud is dried the total yardage of dredged material
will be considerably less than 350 yards. No action could be
taken on this application because it was received too late to
be put on- agenda. (Received at 1 :00 P.M. , November 10th)

All applications for consideration must be on agenda one week
before meeting. This matter will be taken up at the next
meeting.
Letter received from Gerard A. Dupuis, Esq. with enclosure of
copy of their letter to the Court of Appeals, submitted on the
✓behalf of the Southold Trustees, filed in support of the motions
by both Rambo and the- Town of Southampton seeking re-argument of
the two cases recently decided by the Court of Appeals.
The Board inspected the correspondence received from the
Cooperative Extension dated October & November 1975.
The Board inspected the N.Y.S D.E.C. -Public Hearing Notices.
The Chairman instructed the secretary to -send letters to the
editors of the L.I. Traveler and the Suffolk Times requesting
them to publish the Trustees Agenda one week prior to 'the
meeting in view of the public interest in the Trustees meetings.
The secretary related to the Chairman inquiry from Ernest Guettinger
who owns property at Oak Street, Cutchogue on East Creek. He is
now in the process of building a residence-there. . The survey from
�_he previous owner shows a ramp, dock, and floats directly in front
of the. property. However, . everything (excepting a .few pilings) was
taken- away during a storm several years. ago. Mr. Guettinger now
wants to know if he needs a permit to ire-build the ramp, dock;" and
floats. The Chairman stated- that he must file a permit to rebuild
together with a $5.00 total fee.
On motion by Mr. Robertson, seconded: by Mr. Robertson; it was
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Board of Southold Town Trustees,
dated October- 6; 1975, .be approved as submitted.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, o
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
On motion by Mr. Goldsmith,' seconded by Mr.. Bird, 'it was
RESOLVED that the next regular meeting of the Board of Southold
Town Trustees be held at 7: 30 P.M. , _ Monday, December 8; 1975.
Meeting adjourned at 8: 20 P.M.
