BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN'TRUSTEES
Special Meeting of July 12, 1975
A special meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was
held at' 330 P.M. , Saturday, July 12, 1915, at the Town Clerk's
Office, Main Road, Southold, N.Y. , with th61 "folldwing present: -
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman
Douglas M. Robertson
Philip. G:. Horton
' Frederick E. Gordon
George. Bird..
On motion by Mr. Goldsmith, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED that the Board of Southold Town Trustees does not
recommend the approval of Wetlands Application # 22 by Michael
F. Colavito on his property located on Corey Creek at Bayview
Road, Southold, N.Y.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. ,Rbbertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
The Board of Southold Town Trustees requested of Mr. Colavito
that he not fill the wetlands area that he proposes. We have agreed,
to contact the Mosquito Commission on his behalf and suggest to
them that they open a mosquito ditch through thia area and connect
it to the main,. partodf Corey Creek. This would eliminate the
mosquito problem and the flow of current would prevent any
stagnation.
On motion by Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Goldsmith, it was
RESOLVED that the Board of Southold Town Trustees favorably
recommend the approval of Wetlands Application # 23 by
Michael F. Colavito on his property located on Corey Creek
at Bayview Road, Southold, N.Y.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: -Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
This application proposes the installation of approximately
60' tp 70' of bulkhead and floating dock 10'x3' on the dredged
canal.
On motion by Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED that the Board of Southold Town Trustees favorably
recommends the approval of Wetlands Application # 24 by
Pierce Yacht Bgsin, Inc. for permission to dredge to a depth

of 6 feet below mean low water, .bulkhead, and install piles
to provide 38 additional slips for sailboats at their property
located at Manhanset Avenue and Beach Road, Greenport, New York.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: - Mr. ,Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
The Trustees have examined this area and believe that this
project would not, in any way, interfere with water supply or
ecology of the area and therefore recommends its ' approval.
On motion by Mr. .Horton, seconded -'by Mr. .Bird, it was
RESOLVED that Charles C. Watts; Sterling Road, .Cutchogue,
New Yprk, be granted permission to add ramp and float to
existing dock in 'Mud Creek, Cutchogue,. ,N.Y. , all in accordance
with specifications as presented in the briginating application.
Fee $ 6.34. -

On motion by Mr. Bird, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was
RESOLVED that Sidney Olmsted, 53-20 212st Street, Bayside,
N.Y. be granted permission to construct dock, ramp, and
floating dock with .mooring piles in Mattituck Creek directly
in front of his "property. off Westphalia Road, Mattituck, N.Y. ,
all in accordance with detailed specifications as presented in the
originating application. Fee

Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
On motion by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Goldsmith, it was
RESOLVED that Charles Sidorowicz, 12585 Sound Avenue, Mattituck,
New York,. be granted permission .to place offshore.mooring .in
Mattituck Creek, Mattituck, N.Y. , all in accordance with the
detailed specifications .as presented in the originating
application. Fee $5.00.

On motion by Mr. Goldsmith, seconded by .Mr. Horton, it .was
RESOLVED that Richard R. Prieto, Minnehaha Blvd. ,& Opechee .
Avenue, Southold, 'N.Y.. be granted permission. to place_ 4'x12'
fixed dock, 5 'x 16' floating dock with 6 mooring piles -directly.
in front of his own property at Corey Creek, Southold, N.Y. , ...
all in accordance with the detailed specifications. as presented
in the originating application. Fee $18.80 "

On motion by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that David A. Mills, 135 Garden Street, Garden City,
N.Y. be granted permission. to place offshore mooring (tie-up
'between 2 piles) in James CreekZat Strong' s Marina,. ..Mattituck,
N.Y. , all in accordance with the detailed specifications as
presented in the originating application. Fee $5.00

place offshore mooring in Mattituck Creek, Mattituck,, N.Y. ,
all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented -
in the originating application. Fee $5.00.
