BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES
Meeting of February 3, 1975
A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was held
at 7 :30 P.M. , Monday, February 3 , 1975 at the Town Board meeting
room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, with the following
present:
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman
Douglas M. Robertson
Philip G. Horton
Frederick E. Gordon
George Bird
Also present: Loretta Hess, Orville Terry, Bob Rinklin, Paul
Stoutenburgh.
Mr. Patrick Gorman, Chairman of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park
District appeared before the Board to discuss the possibility of
the Town Trustees granting the Park District a quit claim deed to
land on the north side of the Nassau Point Causeway which was a
result of the County dredg,ing . Broadwaters Cove .some years ago.
On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was
RESOLVED .that ttl* upon presentation of the proper papers to the
Town Trustees, a quit claim deed will be granted to the Cutchogue-
New Suffolk Park District Covering certain lands located on the
north side of the Nassau Point Causeway.
Note of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
Recommendation upon. the application :of Rev. Donald P..-.Brickley for
a wetland permit was tabled until the March meeting., pending. receipt
of information requested from the Suffolk County Department of Health.

On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was
RESOLVED that Joseph M. Gold, Main Bayview Road, Southold, New
York be granted permission to place an offshore mushroom mooring
in Corey Creek, at the foot of private .right-of-way off Main
Bayview Road, all in accordance with the detailed specifications
as presented in the originating application. Fee $5. 00.
Vote of the Board: Ades: Mr. Goldsmith, 41r. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that Eugene J. McPartlarid, Bayview Road, Southold, New
York be granted permission to place an onsh re stake and offshore
anchor in Corey Creek, at the foot of privaTrright-of-way off
Main Bayview Road, all in accordance with the detailed specifications
as presented in the originating application. Fee $5 .00.
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
Application of John J. Berdinka, 315 Pat Lane, Mattituck, New
York for permission to locate an offshore-onshore mooring in
Mattituck Creek off Route 27A was tabled for investigation.
On motion of Mr._ Gordon, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was
RESOLVED that the Board of Southold Town Trustee minutes of
January 6, 1975 be approved as submitted.
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. .Bird.
On motion of Mr. Horton,' seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED that the next regular meeting of the Board of Southold
Town Trustees will be held at 7 :30 P.M. , Monday, March 3 , 1975
at the Town Board meeting room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New
York.
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
Paul Stoutenburgh suggested that the proposed amendment to the
zoning ordinance relative to notification of adjoining property
owners, include notification of the Town Trustees if a change
is proposed on property adjoining any town waters.
General discussion was held relative to the inclusion of fresh
water in the wetland ordinance.
On motion of Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that this Town Trustee meeting be adjourned at 8 :30 P.M.
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird.
