BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES
Meeting ,of April 12, 1,976
A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was
held at 7: 30 P.M. , Monday, April 12, 1976, at the Town Board
meeting room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, with the
following present:
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman
Douglas M. Robertson
Philip G. .Horton
George C. Bird
Joseph Hataier
Betty Neville, Secretary
Also present: Lorraine & William Terry, Paul Stoutenberg, Robert
Olsen-North Fork Environmental Council; Robert Rinklin-L.I. Traveler
Mr. William Johnston presented the Trustees with proposal for quit
claim deed, meets and bounds description and survey of his property
min regard to his applications for 1 . dredging 2. bulkheading and
filling at Fisherman' s Beach, Cutchogue. Same,to be transmitted
to the Town Attorney and Town Board for their approval.
Application of John J. Hughes,. Jr. for request for offshore mooring
at Gull9Pond, Greenport was further tabled. No amended plan was
received from the applicant.
Application of Noel J. Lutkowski for request for offshore mooring
✓at Gull Pond, Greenport was further tabled. No amended plan was
received from the applicant.
✓Application of Leonard Walters for offshore mooring at East Creek
Cutchogue was further tabled. Amended application to be submitted
for next meeting.
On motion of Mr;. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that Adam MVsiewiez, Pine Tree Road, Cutchogue, N.Y. be
/GRANTED permission for offshore mooring at Littl.b Creek, Cutchogue,
N.Y. Fee paid $5.00
Vote of .the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr.: Robertson, Mr.. Horton,
Mr. Bird, Mr. Hataier
On motion of Mr. . Goldsmith, seconded by Mr. Hataier, it was
RESOLVED that Thomas M. Sanderson, 2659 Pine Tree Road, Cutchogue,
N.Y. be GRANTED permission for offshore mooring at Little Creek,
Cutchogue, N.Y. Fee paid $5.00
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Bird, Mr. Hataier.
On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was
RESOLVED that Hjalmar G. Torlund, Pine Tree Road, Cutchogue, N.Y. be
GRANTED permission to place offshore mooring at Little Creek,
Cutchogue, N.Y. Fee paid $5.00

On motion of Mr. Bird, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED that H. Curtis Tabor, Skippers Lane, Orient, N.Y. be
GRANTED permission for onshore-offshore mooring at Orient Creek,
in front of property of J.B. Tuthill) Orient, N.Y. Fee paid 5.00
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Bird, Mr. Hataier
On motion of Mr. Robertson, Seconded by Mr. Bird, it was
RESOLVED that Eva A. Becht, 975 Hill Road, Southold, N.Y. be
GRANTED permission for T21 x 5161, floating dock, to be attached
to applicant' s bulkhead directly in front of her property at
Jockey Creek, Southold, N.Y. Fee paid $6.60

On motion of Mr. Hataier, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED that Gerard Graseck, 435 N. Bayview Road, Southold, N.Y. be
GRANTED permission to place onshore mooring at Goose Creek, off
V/Waterview Drive, Southold N.Y. Fee Raid $5.00

Application of Dwight Edstrom, Grand Avenue, Mattituck, N.Y.. for
permission to place offshore mooring at Mattituck Creek was tabled
for further investigation and inspection of the property.
Application of Virginia Tan Bokkelen, RR 1 , Box 53 G, Mattituck, N.Y.
,/'onshore-offshore mooring and float at James Creek, Mattituck, N.Y.
was tabled for determination of whether or not applicant has deeded
rights and for clarification of intent of application.
Application of ,Ralph B. Todebush, West Creek Ave. , Cutchogue, N.Y.
,/for onshore-offshore mooring at Wickham Creek, Cutchogue, N.Y. was
tabled for investigation and inspection of property.
Mr. George Case Mr. Wilbur A. Baldwin and Mr. HenrySteinbrecher
of the--Nassau Point Property Owners Assoc. regarding the blockage
�at Haywater Cove due to the "let go" of a bulkhead ' built by
Dr. Thos . Smauels. Mr. Golsmith advised them that the Board would
be down to inspect this on Saturday, April 17th.
The Board requested that the secretary advise anyone applying for a
bulkhead that they may need the Dept. of Environmental Conservation,
State approval.
Mr. Goldsmith advised the Board that John Wickham is planning to
// urchase the Fleet property at Cutchogue and that he may require a
quit claim deed from the Town.
On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was
RESOLVED that .the minutes of the Board of Southold Town Trustees,
dated March 8, 1976 be approved as submitted.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Bird,
Mr. Horton, Mr. Hataier.
On motion of Mr. Goldsmith, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED. that the next regular meeting of the Board of Southold
Town Trustees will be held at 7: 30 P.M. , Monday, May 10, 1976,
p. 202
at the Town Board meeting' 'room, 16 South' 'Street, Greenport, N.Y.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton,
Mr. Bird, Mr. Hataier.
