MINUTES OF TOWN TRUSTEE MEETING OCTOBER 5, 1954.

A meeting of the Town Trustees was called to order at
4 P.M. by the President, Mr. Emmons Dean..

Minutes of the previous meeting were read for information.
Application of N. Y. State Conservation Department,
Bureau of Marine�isEeries , 65 West Sunrise Highway,
Freeport, L. I. for lease of a section of bottom
(approximately 4 acre) in the northwest corner of
Dam Pond, East Marion, for experimental work in the
raising of seed oysters was read. The Supervisor
(Mr. Norman E. Klipp) and the Toren Board have recom-
mended that this Board execute a lease for 3 years
with a renewal option as requested and that the lease
be made without fee. It was regularly voted and carried
that such a lease be drawn as promptly as possible as
requested.
Application of Thomas A . Litsch for permission fo
dredge and erect a dock in fro n of his property
at Jockey Creek, Southold, was again presented with
a sketch and it -vies voted to grant the request,
the fee to be $10.00.
Application of William T. and Rose M. King for per-
mission to dredge in front of their property on
Arshamomaque Creek and to erect three small docks
not over 20 feet from high water mark on the easterly
side, north of railroad bridge was read. It was
voted to grant the permit, fee to be $1 5.00.
.Application of U. S . Department of Agriculture,
Agricultural Research Service for the Plum Island
Animal Disease Laboratory, 25 Front Street, P. O.
Box 848, Greenport, L. I. was read. Since this request
concerns private properties and the only properties
concerning the Town would be the cutting through of
the beach, it was voted to grant the permit without
fee.
The next meeting of this Board will be called at
4 P.M. on Tuesday, October 26, 1954.
Minutes were read and approved.
