' :179 A regular meeting of the Southold Town Turstees was called to order at 4 P.M. on May 27, 1963 at the Town Clerk Office, Southold, N.Y. Present: Emmons Dean Frank Dawson John McNulty Philip Weiler Alvah Goldsmith Marion Regent Previously approved applications were signed. Three applications from Edwin H. King were presented to the Board for approval. The first application is for permission to install deck scow 30' x 110' and 10 piles to hold same; to rebuild catwalk 175 feet long plus 10 piles; and build catwalk along bulkhead 80- . feet plus 11 piles . Fee $ .50 per ft. for scow = $55 .00 plus 10 piles at $ .50 = 5.00 .Total $60.00; 175 ' plus 80 ft -of catwalk = 255 ft. @ .10 per ft. _ $25.50, plus 21 piles @ .50 = $10.50'. Total $36.00 Overall total for this permit -----$96.00 Second application from Edwin H. King is for 12' x 28' float with 4 piles and landing ramp (28' @ .50 $14.00 plus 4 piles @ .50 = 2.00. Total fee. $16.00. Third application of Edwin H. King is for 500 ft. channel 80 ' wide leading in from Hallock's Bay to his basin, approximately 600 cu. yards plus approximately 100 cu. yards in basin-- Total 700 cu. yards @ .04 = $28.00. These three applications were approved by the Board at the calculated fees. Anthony Glorials request for 1 boat stake in Hallock's Bay approved. Fee $ .50 paid. Joseph .R. Link's request for 1 boat stake in Goose Bay, Southwood, Southold, approved. Fee $ .50 paid. Application of James V. Thurrot for permission to lease land under water in West Harbor, Fishers Island, N.Y. was discussed. It was decided to defer action pending advice of Town Counsel as to whether or not t1h1s; Board has jurisdiction in theses waters. Request .of William Wickham, Attorney 6or Mrs. Vina Baker and Mr . George VanBuren, for information as to how to acquire a quitclaim-deed to the filled land msed as spoil area during the dredging of- Mattituck Inlet was received. The Board agreed that the parties were entitled to such a deed and because of the nature of the shoreline it was believed that the new high water mark would be the outer boundary. The old high water mark should be obtainable from County maps made 14 prior to the dredging.
