A regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was called to order
at.,the So k uthold Town._Cler '.s Office at 4 P.M. on December 27, 1960.
Present: Emmond Dean, John McNulty, Philip Weiler, Alvah B. Goldsmith,

The President, Emmons Dean, called for a moment of silent prayer in
memory of our' late Supervisor, Henry Hull Tuthill, who was killed
in an automobile accident on Friday, December 23, 1960. The entire
Board of Trustees attended his funeral this morning.
The Board voted unanimously the following resolution and ordered
it spread upon the minutes and a copy forwarded to Mr. And Mrs.
Harry H. Tuthill, his parents:
WHREAS, God, in His Providence, has taken from our midst Henry Hull
Tuthill, and
WHEREAS, Henry Hull Tuthill has served the Town of Southold as it' s
Supervisor faithfully and well for the past year,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the ' Town Trustees deeply mourns the
passing of our good friend ,and fellow townsman and extend their
profound sympathy to the members of his family in their bereavement
and that when the Board adjourns this day, it do so out of respect
to the memory of Henry Hull Tuthill.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: Thatncopy of this resolution be forwarded
to the members of his family and a copy be spread upon the minutes
of this meeting and become a part of the Public Records of the Town
of Southold. '
Mr . McNulty called attention of the Board to the fact that our
President, Mr. Emmons Dean, had recently celebrated his 50th wedding
anniversary. The congratulations and best wishes of this Board are
extended to Mr. and Mrs. Dean upon this happy occasion.
