A meeting of the 'Towri Trustees was .held at hhe
, office of the Supervisor at Greenport, New York,
on Saturday, January 9, 1954, at 1 P,M.
Present: Emmons Dean -
Frank Dawson
Alvah B. Goldsmith _
Rensselaer G. Terry' Jr . , Town Counsel
Norman E. Klipp, Supervisor
Marion Winters
Mr. Bowden' Mr. Tilberg, and Mr. Sweet, who rep-
resents ,H. C. H'owe' Cp. appdaredsbefore the Board
to discuss the possibility of planting 'shells in
one or two creeks in the town to raise seed oysters:
oar Great Hog Neck
Cedar Beach or
Corey Creek
It would regmire hard bottom, inlet to permit
entrance by scow towed by motor boat.
The material would probably be placed in July,
shells first and then* wire baskets, which will
take about one week.
The material would b e taken out in early October
and would not interfere with local use.
They would agree to leave seed oysters in the town.
It was agreed that .the Board would discuss the matter
and, let Mr. Sweet know their dtcisiQn.z as soon as
possible-.
The meeting was adjourned at 3 :30 P.M.
