HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-03/06/1948 _ March 6, 1948 A special meeting of the Southold Totem Trustees was called to order in the Ton Clerk' s Office, at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, March • 69 1948 by Mr. Emmons Dean, President. Present at the meeting were the following: Emmons Dean, President Harry Mason Jolu1 McNulty Alvah B. Goldsmith, Clerk This meeting was called to consider the application of Mr. Theron Worth of Mattituck, New York for a permit to dredge and fill land under taster in front of his property on New Suffolk Avenue and Deep Hole Creek in accordance with a rough sketch submitted in his letter dated February 13, 1948. The Board adjourned to the location to inspect the property. After discussion it was voted that the Clerk of the Board advise Mr. Worth that a surveryor' s map and description must be submitted in duplicate - �l showing definite -meets and bounds of the area to be dredged and _ J filled and showing the existing high water mark of the property. (These maps are required to be filed and are -the basis of the des- cription that must be used in any permits that may be issued.) The Clerk was also instructed to inform Mr. Worth that the purpose of the proposed dredCD ging and filling must be stated definitely that any proposed bulkheading must be shown as we11 as any pro- posed docks; and that letters from adjoining property owners waiving all objections to the proposed work should be submitted; In the event that objections to the project are made to the Board then a public hearing will be necessary prior to any action by the- Board in granting this permit. A letter was read from Supervisor Norman Klipp submitting a copy of the recoimm endations of the State Auditors trith reference to the handling of moneys received and the filing of duplicate copies of all leases, conveyances, permits, agreements and writings with the Town Clerk. The Clerk of the board Trustees was instructed to comply with these recommeiid.ations. Minutes were read and approved and the meeting adjourned at 3:15 p.m. Alvah B. Goldsmith, Clerk
