A meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was .called to order by
President Emmons Dean at the Toina Clerk' s Office on this date
at 2:15 p.m. Present Were:
Pres. Emmons Dean
Harry Mason
John McNulty
Alvah B. Goldsmith
George C. Terry - representing
town council
Minutes of previous meeting read for information.
Application of Mr. Theorn Worth for permission to dredge an area:..
not to exceed 30 feet from existing bulkhead and not to exceed
2 feet in depth across the 75 foot width of his property was read.
(Request in regular legal form with notarized consent of adjoining
property owners was submitted.)
On motion the Board granted the request as presented and Town
Counsel was asked to prepare the legal forms for the Board' s
signature.
Mr. Edward Miller had requested through Mr. Dean that the Town
Trustees consider the matter of issuing a grant to certain lands
under water. The Board took no action pending submittal of deeds
and survey showing what title if any, Mr. Miller has in the F
property and its exact location in relation to adjoining property
owner s.
The request of Mr. Gerald Hommel for permission to lease bottom
in Dam Pond was discussed. The' Clerk was instructed to write
Mr. Hommel that consent of the upland owners w uld be required _
and if obtained their a public hearing would have to be held be-
fore action could be taken in this matter.
It was regularly moved and carried that the action of the Board
of Trustees in the case of an easement to Mr. A.L.R. Francisco
and a grant to , r. James D'Wolf should be ratified by the existing
board so that �- e necessary legal papers could be drawn and ex-
ecuted. Said actions were authorized by the Town Trustees at a
meeting on July 13, 1946.
It was regularly voted that the Board of Trustees request the
Supervisor to designate oiZof the Town Policemen as a conservation
officer to enforce the town Ordinances with respect to the taking
of shellfish in Town Waters.
The next regular meeting of the ToiTn Trustees was set for Saturday'
May 221 194K
