HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-11/25/1944 20 Avember 25, 1944 A meeting of the Trustees of the Town of Southold was called to order at the Town Clerks Office, Southold, N.Y. at 1: 50 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 1944, by Mr. Emmons Dean, President. Present at this meeting were: Fred Tabor Emmons Dean Leroy S. Reeve Stewart W. Horton Alvah B. Goldsmith George C. Terry, Town Council Minutes of meeting of January 3' 1944 read for information. Secretary instructed to write Clarence Schaumburg regarding old minute books and records of Town Trustees. It was reported that the Town Trustees attended the public meeting on January 12, 1944- at Southold Fire House. Letter of Courtland Worth regarding base of creek bottom in front of his property at Goldsmith' s Inlet, Peconic was read. All discussion of this request was held moved that a formal application be submitted containing a ,diagram and description of the land in question and the purpose for which the land is to be used and proof of ownership of upland adjacent to said land be furnished. The matter of the old barge near the Mill Creek Bridge and its menace to the bridge and its danger to children was discussed. It was moved, seconded and carried that the balance in the name of the Trustees in the Southold Savings Bank be transferred to the Supervisor of the Town of Southold in accordance with the law. The Secretary was instructed to check up on the various leases and grants issued by the Board of Trustees with the purpose of collect- ing arrears in such funds. Minutes were read and approved.
