Meeting of the Board of Town Trustees called to order by
Emm- ons Dean at 1:40 p.m. November 13, 1945.
Present: Emmons Dean, President
Alvah Goldsmith, Clerk
S. W. Horton
Fred Tabor.
Minutes of previous meeting read for information.
Organization election of Board resulted in E. Dean, President,
Alvah B. Goldsmith -Clerk (Secretary & Treasurer)
Mr, Dean spoke of having meetings of Trustees called every two
months or oftener if necessary. It was moved, seconded and
carried that the Board of Trustee- meet every three months
or oftener if necessary.
The matter of recomrilending a To.az Ordinance relating to the
sizes of shellfish that can be taken in Town waters was dis-
cussed. It was the concensus of opinion of the members of the
Board present that the Town Ordinances should conform to State
Laws they giving the Town full jurisdiction of the shellfish
in Town waters by Town Officials.
Resolution passed by Board granting permission to townspeople
who so desire to take bug escallops from Mill Creek to be trans-
planted in other waters of Southold Town providing such taking
and transplanting -to done under the su-!.)ervision of the Town
Officer in charge.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the Trustees authorize
the Clerk of the Board of Trustees to turn over -the `.:trustees
fund in the Southold Savings Bank to the Supervisor of Southold
Toi-T - S. Wentworth Horton on or about January 1, 1946.
It was suggested that the Clerk of the Board secure blanks for the
payment of services of members of the Board and have such blanlm
available at every meeting so they may be filled in by the
members at each meeting.
The Board adjourned to the property of A.L.R. Francisco to ex
amine the location of the proposed dock and dredging for whibh
Mr. Francisco had requested a permit. The Board decided to
request Mr. Francisco to stake out the proposed project and
to be sure that the propsed work did not extend beyond the
boundaries of his extended property lines. The Board will con-
sider the proposition as soon as this -request has been complied
with.
