A special meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was held at
10:00 a.m. , Friday, May 6, 1977 at the Town Hall, MainRoad,
Southold, . New York. Present were :
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman
Douglas Robertson, Trustee
Joseph Hataier, Trustee
George Bird, Trustee
Chairman Goldsmith called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m.
On motion trade by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was
RESOLVED to close Peters Neck Creek in Orient for the period
from May. 1O to June 10, 1977 for the purposes of .taking clams in
order to implement a clam seeding program by the Town of Southold.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Goldsmith, Robertson, Hataier, Bird.
The above. resolution was offered in response to a request from the
Supervisor to add Peters Neck Creek as an alternative area to Dam
Pond as previously reque.sted. .
Motion was made by Mr. Bird, seconded by Mr. Hataier and
carried to adjourn. the meeting. Meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
