A special meeting of the Board of Southold Town- Trustees ..
was held January 14, 1978 at 10 a.m. at Mattituck Creek (inlet)
at the Petersen. site.-..
President. Horton opened the meeting. Present were:
Trustee Philip G. Horton

Mr. Petersen- called earlier that he could not attend
because of problems. due to the ice storm. . After. much
discussion concerning Mrs Petersen' s barges and piles,: the
following resolution was presented.

On .motion made; by .Mr...Harris, seconded by Mr. .Stoutenburgh,
it was.
RESOLVED that all the pilings placed in Mattituck Creek
by Howard Petersen were in etiolation of Chapter, 32, Article I,
Section 32-10 of the Code of the Town of Southold as no permit
from the Board of Trustees.. of the Town. of. Southold was ever
granted and;,the-town attorney .be instructed...-t_o. draw ;up.. the -
necessary,. papers citing Mr. - Petersen.
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Horton, Harris, Nickles,
Stoutenburgh
The date for the next regular meeting -of the Board of
Trustees will be Monday,,-. February .6, 1978, because of a conflict
with a Town Board -public hearing on February 7.
Motion was made by Mr. Nickles, seconded by Mr. Stoutenburgh !
that a permit is required from the Board of Trustees for bulk-
head, dredge and fill being proposed by Baldwin L. Humm at Gull
Pond and Fordham Canal for that portion adjacent to or in town
lands or waters. Motion was carried.
There being no further business to come before the board
at this time, - the meeting was adjourned.
