HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-03/07/1978 288 A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was held March 7, 1978, at the Town Hall, Main 'Road, Southold, New York. Present were: i .President Philip •G. Horton Trustee Scott Harris Trustee John Nickles Trustee Paul Stoutenburgh On 'motion 'made by Trustee Nickles, seconded by Trustee Harris, it was i. RESOLVED 'to approve the application of John Sammis to place a mooring in Deep Hole Creek at the end of' Park Avenue with the condition that the mooring be maintained at least fifty feet from the channel. I Vote' of the Board:' Ayes: Horton', Harris,' Nickles, 'Stoutenburghl I On motion made by Trustee Stoutenburgh, seconded by Trustee Nickles, it' was ,RESOLVED to approve the application of the Suffolk County Department of Public Works for maintenance dreding at the entrance to Gull Pond and' the maintenance of the bathing area at the Norman E. Klipp Marine Park- as per application dated February 10, I 1978. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Nickles, Stoutenburgh There was a request from a gentleman in the audience that1'the _ sign limiting the speed to.- five miles be repainted or. replaced. This will be brought to the attention of the Bay Constable; William Januick. On motion made by Trustee Nickles, seconded by Trustee Harris, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the application #33 for a wetland permit to Frank S. Rosenberg and Margaret E. Rosenberg 'to do maintenance dreding on the south side of Champlin Place, Greenport, at the head of Stirling Creek. Vote of the Board: Ayes; Horton, Nickles, Harris,' Stoutenburgh The request for an extension of the permit of Marion Pell to construct a catwalk, ramp and float for placement in Gull Pond was again tabled at the request of the applicant in order for her to have soundings taken to find out the depth and where the exact location will be. i 289 i 'The minutes of the meeting of February 16, 1978 were approved with the addition of the following in the last paragraph on page 287. Imput from the public will also be / sought. A motion made by Trustee Stoutenburgh requesting the Southold Town Board to allow the trustees to review the resumes submitted for the vacant seat on the board if it is not out 'of line was lost for want of a second to the motion. The work being contemplated by Mr. Humm was' discussed. A permit from the Board of Southold Town Trustees will' be necessary for the pilings that will hold the bulkhead. There was question of the ownership of Fordham Canal which will be explored further. There being no further business to come before the board, Trustee Nickles made a motion, seconded by Trustee Stoutenburgh and carried to adjourn the meeting.
