"From time to time the Board has "found it necessary to deny' an
application for mooring a boat in Town Waters because of congestion
and overcrowding at some of the more desirable public landings. Sub-
sequent investigation has -determined that some of this . inconvenience
is because many of our permits, valid' until revoked by the Board, are
currently issued to persons who no longer have any need of a mooring
or have even moved away from the area without any notification to
cancel their permit.
"In order to improve the utilization of the much needed space
at our Town Landings, a resolution was recently passed by this Board
revoking all present Mooring Permits and adopting certain changes in
the issuance of new permits.
"Since our records indicate that you are the recipient of Permit
# Mooring fk dated - we are writing
to advise that effective January 1, 1973 this permit will no longer
be valid for the mooring of a boat. If you wish- to continue your
present mooring, it will be neeessary to file a new application
prior to March 31, 1973 . The new permits will be valid for one (1)
year only, from date of issue, and must be renewed on an annual basis
thereafter. A standard fee of $5 . 00 has also been adopted to cover
the processing of all applications made to the Board; whether it be
for a dock, a mooring, or for any other purpose and this filing fee
will be the only charge for a mooring permit other than in cases where
multiple moorings are involved.
"A new Application Form, a Location Map, and Instructions are
enclosed for your convenience. If the Board' s Secretary has not
44
received your.-completed application ;or a communication regarding
your intentions by the due date of March' 31, .1973 , it will, be _
