Robertson, George ..A..;.' Simpson., Phi.l'ip. G., Horton:, -Rudolph -Johnson, and.:Judith T. Boken, Secretary. Brief discussions were held relative to proposal by Robert . Cooper to dredge a boat slip on his lot #k9 at Cleaves Point, Greenport, New, York; ' and a .request. by George .Ahlers 'to -.-the.'. Suffolk-. County Department of Public Works . to dredge in Jockey - Creek, Southold, New York. Mr. Patrick Carrig appeared before the Board. with,, the applica- tion of Joseph Turchiano for a bulkhead. On. motion,-of Mr,- Robertson, . .seconded by Mr., Simpson, -it was - " - RESOLVED, . that Joseph Turchiano, ,Deep: 'Hole Drive,. ,LIattituck, New York, be granted permission to b&-ild a 50 ..ft. bulkhead with two ',6 .ft. returns. on his-property at Deep Hole Creek, Mattituck, " New York, all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $15 . 50. Vote of the, Board: _Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith,,, Mr: - Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, :.Mr.. -Johnson: On motion of Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Horton, WHEREAS, the Board of Town Trustees has reviewed the applica- tion of Henry F. Praus for a wetlands permit, and investigated the site at Nassau Point, Lot #29 and part of 30 on Map of "Peconic Bay Properties, Inc. " , fronting on Haywaters Cove, Cutchogue, New York, and WHEREAS, the Board of. Town Trustees does not believe the issuance of a wetlands .permit to Henry F. Praus will substantially adversely affect any portion of Section 280 of the Wetland Ordinance, it is therefore -RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Board of Town. Trustees recommends the approval of the application of Henry F. Praus for a wetland permit. Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Simpson, Mr.Johnson. 13 On motion of 'Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was RESOLVED, .that Jerome B. Lewin; .76-37 16.7th Street, Flushing., New. York, and 875 Oak Avenue, Goose Bay Estates, Southold, New York, be granted permission to place a mooring in- Goose Bay, mooring lot ##11 previously assigned to Karl Ahlberg.! Fee .$1.00 paid. . : Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. ,Robe_ rtson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. The Secretary was instructed. to write a letter to the Goose Bay Civic Association., Inc. notifying them of:.the above action. ' Mr. Robertson read a letter to the Town Trustees from Mr. & Mrs. Frank Vanecek, the new owners. of .-,Narrow River Marina (formerly Kings Farms Marina) , Orient, New York. Mr. and Mrs. Vanecek stated they- are in the. _process of replacing the barge with floating docks, but will continue to operate the .marina as it has .been in- the past. The Secretary was instructed to forward -a . letter to :Mr. and Mrs ., Vanecek expressing the appreciation of the Board for their cooperation and advising .them .the, Board will be happy to..accept their invitation to inspect the project. If there are any changes to be,.made the Board of Town Trustees would be glad to he.ar._ from Mr. and Mrs. Vanecek and appreciate receiving azsketLh. indicating any changes to be made as a matter of record for this department. The Board received a letter from the Southold Town Environmental Advisory Council referring to a letter from the Orient-By-The-Sea Marina regarding the erosion problem caused by a jetty constructed by the U. °S. Government at the Plum Island Marina. The area feferred to at Orient Point does not come under the jurisdiction of the Town Trustees and a: letter was forwarded to the Orient-By-The Sea Marina, copy to the Conservation Advisory *Council, stating this fact. The Board received the preliminary plan for dredging at Deep Hole Creek by the Suffolk County Department of Public Works. The Board asked the Secretary to request the Suffolk County Department of Public Works to send us the location for the deposit of fill for this project. On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Simpson, it was RESOLVED, that William A. Starks, Knollwood Lane, Mattituck, New York, be granted permission to construct a dock 90 ft. by 4 ft. , and float 10 ft. by 20 ft. with 3 pilings on his property on Mattituck Creek, Mattituck, New York, all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $59.00. -- Application for a bulkhead waived as bulkhead is entirely on the applicant ' s property. Vote of the Board : Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr_? Johnson. 14 On motion of Mr. Robertson; seconded by Mr.­ Horton, - it--was RESOLVED, -that J. Royal Gifford, Minnbhaha -Boulevard and Opechee Avenue, Southold, New York, be granted permission to place one (1) mooring in- Corey Creek at the' foot of Opechee Avenue, Southold, all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $1.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. The Board received the application of Joe Basile, Sun Lane, Southold, requesting permission- to build a dock. The- Secretary­'-was instructed to forward a letter ..to Mr. Basile requesting that he furnish a more accurate diagram of the proposed dock and location on. his property, and'- a--survey'- of his "property-as out- lined in Item 5 on Form A/4, -"Constructing a' Dock" . On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was RESOLVED, that the minutes of April. 3 , 1972 be approved as submitted. Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton., Mr. Simpson, Mr. Johnson. On motion of Mr. Simpson, seconded by-Mr. Johnson, it was RES OLVED, -that the next meeting of the Southold Town Board of Town Trustees will be held Monday; - June -5 , 1972- at 7 :30 P.;-M.'- - at the Town- Clerk 's Office, Main Road; Southold, New- York.
