SOUTHOLD TOWN :TRUSTEES
Meeting of March 6, 1972
The Southold Town Trustees met at the' Town Clerk ' s Office, Main
Road, Southold, New-. York on Monday, Mabcha6�7 1972 at 7 :30 P.M. ,
with the following present:
Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman, Douglas M. . Robertson, George A. Simpson,
Philip G. Horton, Rudolph Johnson, and Judith T. Boken, .Secretary.
On motion of, Mr. Simpson, seconded by .Mr. Horton,: it was
RESOLVED: That the minutes of February 7, 1972 be approved as
submitted.
Vole of the Board: . Ayes : Mr.. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson,
Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson,
Patrick Carrig appeared before the Board to discuss the application
of Stephen Hartman, owner of property on Little Peconic Bay Road,
Nassau Point, ,Cutchogue, New York. Mr. Hartman wishes to construct
a. bulkhead 120 ft. in- . length along his. property line on Wunneweta
Pond. There is presently a small portion of bulkhead on the property
which measures 138 ft. on Wunneweta Pond. -- The Board will
investigate the site,
Mr. Carrig inquired as to the status o.f the applications of John
Lusk and Arthur Sauer to construct bulkheads on their adjoining _,
properties on James Creek at Riley Avenue, Mattituck. -- The
Board had investigated this property. individually and it was agreed
that the applications of Mr. Lusk and Mr. Sauer would come under the
Wetland Ordinance.. Mr. Carrig stated he would inform Mr. Lusk and
Mr. Sauer of .-the findings of the Board.
The Board signed permit #693 , Robert D. & Luella G. Boyd, and
permit #694 (Stake #291) , Miriam B. Conant.,
Mr. Goldsmith advised the Board that Mr. Arthur Antonison, Hiawatha ' s
Path, Southold, has withdrawn his application for a boat stake.
A letter was received -from the Department of Public Works, Yaphank,
transmitting preliminary plans for proposed dredging by the County
in Corey Creek, Wickham Creek and Richmond Creek. . Upon examination
of the maps the Board was unable to determine where the fill would
be deposited. The Secretary was instructed toforward a letter to
the Department of Public Works requesting this information. '

The Board discussed the proposed new forms drawn up by Mr.
Robertson. It was agreed that tne . forms were excellent and
requested Mr. Robertson to consult with Town Attorney Tasker
prior to the forms being sent to the printer.
Mr. Robertson presented the Board with a set of working maps
to be used in conjunction with applications. It was agreed these
maps would be an important part of each new application.
On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Simpson, it was
RESOLVED: That the Board of Town Trustees order a complete
set of the Southold -Town Zoning Maps for use by the Town Trustees.
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr._ Goldsmih.h, Mr. Robertson, Mr.
Simpson, Mr,. Horton, Mr. Johnson.
On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Board -of Town. Trustees - .
will be held at 7 :30 P.M. , Monday, April 3, 1972 at the Town-
Clerk ' s Office, Main Road, Southold, New York. .
Vote of the Board: Ayes : Mr. Go.ldsmith,•_ Mr:. Robertson, Mr.
Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson.
