A regular.:meeting, of. the Board of ..Southold Town Trustees was
held at 7:15 p.m. , Monday, November 5, 1979, at the Town Hall,
Main -Road, Southold, New York. Present were:

Trustee Hataier made a. motion, seconded by Trustee Kaminsky ,
and carried to approve the minutes of the meeting of October 2
1979, with the following addition. On page 372 in the matter of
the application of Donald C. DeLalla, it is to be -added that Mr.
DeLalla agreed that no moorings nor pilings would be put on the
property 'to the south.
MattaMar Marina - application to-'dredge 6,620 cubic yards to correct
shoaling conditions in slips and under floats at private property
of the applicant at Mattituck Creek. Dr. Thomas Samuels represented
James H. Rambo, Inc. , the contractor making the application.
Dorothea De-lahanty', President of Mattituck Creek -Watchdogs representing
67 families in that area, appeared also. Trustee Stou:tenburgh
expressed his opinion that 100 a cubic yard is an insufficient price
to pay for :spoil -removed in dredging projects. His justification
for this •.is that the Town of Southold charges 75¢ a cubic yard for-
fill from the- dump and.-this is .loaded. O' n the truck for you.' The
question was not resolved. Mrs. Delahanty spoke in oppositon. to
the project because of continued :expansioii of the marina area with
resultant garbage and pollution in a residential area.
On motion made by Trustee Hataier, seconded by Trustee Harris,
it was
RESOLVED to table the application of MattaMar Marina to dredge
6,620 cubic yards to correct shoaling conditions in slips and under
floats at private- prop.erty� of_the '-applicant at Matti-buck Creek to
enable the' •Army Corpd)s of Engineers': to have time' 'to, inspect the
area.

RESOLVED to -approve the application of Roger C. Cornell to ?1
place;-offshore stake off public property at Cedar Beach Creek. u

On-motion: made by Trustee Stoutenburgh, seconded by Trustee
Hataier, it-was,
RESOLVED to approve the application of George-W. Bornschein
to place dock off private property .of the applicant:'at East Creek
subject to receipt of wetlands permit from the Town of Southold,
if necessary.

:RESOLVED- to approve- the application. of John .Kowalski to
place offshore mooring off publicly. leased property at Narrow
11� River. Trustee Harris is -to ,
be contacted .•for placement.

On motion made by Trustee Hataier, seconded by Trustee Harris,
it was
. .RESOLVED to ,approve ;the .application of' Charles Levien to
dredge approximately 80, cubic ,yards from;basin to. allow.flotation
of boats at low tide at private property of the applicant at East
Creek.
Vote of the Board: Ayes:: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Stoutenburgh,

On motion made by Trustee Hataier, seconded by Trustee
Stoutenburgh, it was
RESOLVED t'o ;approve. the application of Richard W. Seelig to
construct a catwalk and floating dock off private property of the
applicant at Eugene .Creek, with the provision that it be placed
in the open area between the grass.

On motion made by Trustee Hataier, s.econded_.by Trustee Harris,
it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of
Wetland Application #42 of Arthur David for .permission to place
catwalk over grass area at private property of the applicantat
Eugene Creek.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, - Hataier, Stoutenburgh,
Kaminsky
Mr. David is to be informed that he will also require a ✓
permit for the part of the catwalk that extends into the creek
beyond high water mark and stakes, if any.
Rensselaer Terry, Jr. , Esq. , presented on behalf of Ralj2h
Lavinia and Anna Lavinia a request ' for. a quitclaim deed. There is
a question as to whether this property' is in the creek or bay. . It
will be forwarded to the Town Attorney, Robert Tasker, for his
advice.
Trustee Hataier made a motion that the following moorings be
renewed pending receipt of $5 renewal fee. Trustee Harris seconded
the motion and .it was carried.

There being no further business to come before the Board,
Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Harris and
carried to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
