MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY AUGUST 22, 2013 A Special Meeting of the SOUTHOLD TOWN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS was held at the Southold Town Hall Annex, Capitol One Bank Building, First Floor,Conference Room, 54375 Main Road at Youngs Avenue, Southold on Thursday August 22, 2013 commencing at 5:00 P.M. Present were: Leslie Kanes Weisman, Chairperson/Member Gerard P. Goehringer, Member George Horning, Member (via video conferencing) Ken Schneider, Member Eric Dantes, Member Vicki Toth, Zoning Board Assistant Call to Order at 5:08 P.M. by Chairperson Weisman. STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEWS: A. New Applications:reviews (pending)—None. EXECUTIVE SESSION: 5:11 P.M. Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman seconded by Member Goehringer to enter into Executive Session. Vote of the Board: Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted 5-0 . 5:36 P.M. Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman seconded by Member Goehringer, to exit Executive Session. Vote.of the Board: Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted(5-0). POSSIBLE BOARD RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE HEARING ON C&L REALTY INC #6672 - Request for Variances from Article XXII Section 280-116(B) and Article XIII Section 280-56 and the Building Inspector's June 28, 2013 Notice of Disapproval based on an t Page 2—Minutes Special Meeting held August 22, 2013 Southold Town Zoning Board of Appeals application for building permit to construct decking additions to an existing commercial building, at; 1) less than the code required bulkhead setback of 75 feet, 2) more than the code permitted lot coverage of 30% in the MII District, located at: 61600 Main Road (aka State Route 25) (adj. to Budd's Pond) Southold, NY. SCTM#1000-117-3-8.4. BOARD RESOLUTION: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer, to close the hearing reserving decision. Vote of the Board:Ayes: All. This resolution was duty adopted (5-0). POSSIBLE BOARD RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE HEARING ON HUGH SWITZER#6669 - Request for Variance from Article XXII Code Section 280-105 based on an application for building permit and the Building Inspector's May 20, 2013 Notice of Disapproval concerning a permit to install deer fencing, at: 1) Fence height at more than the code permitted 4 feet when located in the front yard; located at: 3180.Mill Lane (adj. to Goldsmith Inlet) Peconic, NY. SCTM#1000-67-5-1. BOARD RESOLUTION: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer, to close the hearing reserving decision. Vote of the Board: Ayes: All. This resolution was duty adopted (5-0). The Board proceeded with the Agenda as follows: DELIBERATIONS/POSSIBLE DECISIONS/RESOLUTIONS: The Board continued with agenda items, and commenced deliberations on the following applications. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer, to set the next Regular Meeting with Public Hearings to be held September 5, 2013 at 8:30 AM. Vote of the Board: Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). B. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer, to approve minutes from Regular Meeting held August 8, 2013.Vote of the Board: Ayes:All This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). WORK SESSION A. Requests from Board Members for agenda items. There being no other business properly coming before the Board at this time, Chairperson declared the meeting adjourned. The meeting was adjourned at 6:32 P.M.
