I will be using no more than 30 cubic,yards and the sand will be purchased clean beach sand. If more is needed I understand I may need to add permit amendments to current permit. The reason for backfill is due to recent storm events this past winter. Thank you. JOHN LIEGEY requests a Wetland Permit and a Coastal Erosion Permit for the replacement of the existing 6' high fence on east and west sides of property; a 17" high railroad-tie wall from bulkhead to west corner of house; 4'x6' platform with steps to ground from dwelling; remove existing and construct a 30'x20' RCA base with beach stone topped pervious driveway in new location; install 16 yards of screened top-soil for north facing lawn; install five (5) sections of 6'x6' seasonal IPE wood rollout decking; reconstruct 40"x6' stairs to beach off of bulkhead; remove prior deck and walkway; replace 16 yards of lost sand behind bulkhead; and for the existing 980sq.ft. single floor home with west facing entry stairs and 8'x6' platform; existing ±40' long wood bulkhead; existing 6'x6' wood shed; existing 4' high x 40' long west facing picket fence; east facing propane tank; and all landscaping. SCTM# 31-18-1 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action to replace the existing 6' high fence on east and west sides of property; a 17" high railroad-tie wall from bulkhead to west corner of house; 4'x6' platform with steps to ground from dwelling; reconstruct 40"x6' stairs to beach off of bulkhead; remove prior deck and walkway; replace 16 yards of lost sand behind bulkhead; and for the existing 980sq.ft. single floor home with west facing entry stairs and 8'x6' platform; existing ±40' long wood bulkhead; existing 6'x6' wood shed; existing 4' high x 40' long west facing picket fence; east facing propane tank; and all landscaping are INCONSISTENT with Policy 6.3 and therefore INCONSISTENT with the LWRP. 6.3 Protect and restore tidal and freshwater wetlands.
