Dear Ms. Weiss, With regards to your letter dated September 17, 2012,the Board of Trustees reviewed your request to collaborate with the members of the Harbor Lights Association in seeking permission to plant native beach grass and other native vegetation on a recent dredge spoil (15'x 50') site on the Harbor Lights Community Park beach. It has been determined that this project does not require a permit. However, it is required that you provide before and after photographs of the project site, and to submit them the Southold Town Board of Trustees Office. Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office. This is not a determination from any other agency. In reviewing the Town Code Section, Chapter275-4; Exceptions, it is my understanding that a permit is not required for the proposed re-vegetation of this site.
