Also present: Mr. Howard Terryi Building' Inspector, The Chairman stated he had an inquiry from a builder about the status of�Lot * 105 in Eastern Shores at- Greenporte. Section IV. This is the most westerly lot adjoining the road to the beach reserved for residents of the subdivision. The builder had questioned whether . this:.was a corner lot. The, Board unanimously agrided this is a corner lot' and :«tom-••=....: ... should be treate'dR as :suSri iin,.yall: espectso ..� Southold Town' Planning Board .-2- April 13r 1966 The application_ of Race' Point Corporation for a change of zone from "A" Residential and-Agricultural District to ' "M--1" Multiple Residence District on property on the North side of Whistler 'Avenuez Fishers Island was received from the Town Board with a request to study same and make a report and recommendation as soon as possible. The Planning Board studied the map and buildings shown on it. They askedma y questions about them of Mr. Grebe,, who as a resident of 'Fishers Island. is very familar with. all of them; and having seem them on previous visits to the Island recommeiided the change of zone. On motion by Mr. Unkelbach, seconded. by'Mr. Moisa, it was RESOLVED teat the Southold Town Planning Board recommend to the Southold Town Board the change of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to "M-1" Multiple Residence District upon the application of Race Point Corp. ,,, .on certain real property situated at Fishers island,. in the Town of Southd Ld.,- Suffolk Countyz New York and more particularly bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at" an iron pipe on the proposed northwesterly line. of-Whistler'Avenue at the dividing. line between the herein described tract and land of the Board of Education, Fishers Island Union Free' School District No. 4 said point being 261.81 fee North of a point-which is 4446.44 feet west of a monument marking the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey Triangulation ' Station. "PROS" and thence running along said proposed-Avenue line South 670 131 West 1134093 feet to a drill hole at the proposed Northeasterly line of Trumbull Drive; thence along said proposed line and the north- easterly line of-Winthrop'Drive North 250 101 West 170.6.0 feet; thence along the Southeasterly line of Winthrop'Drive , North 80 02= East 5.43 feet; thence North 670 46= East 286.4 feet to an iron pipe; thence North 27" 391 West 33.26 feet . to a monument; thence North 620 '213 East 699. 94 feet to a monument; thence South 230 46= East 102.40 feet to a monument; thence North 670 13'' East 154.35 feet to a monument; thence South 220 47i East 161.55 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 5.41 acres more or less. Southold Town Planning Board -3" April 13t 1966 These buildings on the property are existing buildings, built by the Government. They were built larger than is normally used for one family occupancy. The people on Fishers Island think this will -be beneficial to them and to the community. This seems like a logical and reasonable use of the property as there are other multiple family dwellings owned by the Government in the School District on the same side of this street. The proposal of the owners: Race Point Corporation: to improve these buildings will be in the best interest of the- Town of Southold.
