PLANNING BOARD MEMBERS John Wickham, Chairman Henry Moisa Alfred Grebe Archibald Young William Unkelbach M I N U T E S SOUTHOLD TOWN PLANNING BOARD November 4, 1964 A regular meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board was held at 7:30 P®M ,- Wednesday,. .November 4, 1964,, at the Town Offices Main Road, Southold, New York. There were present: Messrs: John'Wickhamr, Chairman,. Henry Moisa,. Alfred Grebe,- Archibald Young,. and William Unkelbach. Also present: Otto Van Tuyll, Consultant.. and Howard Terrye. Building Inspector* on motion by Mr.' Greber, seconded by Mr. Moisa, it was RESOLVED that -the minutes of the' Southold Town Planidng Board be approved as submitted;' dated October 15, 1964. Vote of the Board: Ayes:Mr. Wickhame., Mr. Moisa, Mr. Grebe,, Mr. Young,: and Mr. Unkelbach. f • Southold Town k"aning Board -2- N.=_,='amber 4r. 1964 Mr.- Clement-Booth was present to discuss his proposed subdivision at Tuckers" Lane in' Southold. This subdivision is about 8 acres and will contain 13 lots. There will be a large turn-around and Mr. Booth has plans of planting trees or flowers in the center. Mr. Booth stated that Greenport Village might be willing to extend their water mains to the subdivision._ and this meets with the approval of-Robert-Villa of the-County Health' Department. The, Chairman advised Mr. Booth that next he would need. the Health- Department,_: approval of the water and lsewage.,.- Superintendent of Highways approval of the layout of the roads.: and a statement from the Greenport Village Board stating they will extend the water, mains. if they are going to extend them to the subdivision. Robert" Preston appeared before the Board in reference to the subdivision Fordham acres. The Board was advised that the Health Department-will not approve the lots on the meadow because of a sewage disposal problem. This subdivision would contain approximately 10 lots. There would also be municipal .water. Mr. Preston thought that perhaps the meadow could be used for a private yacht basin. The Board discussed the lay- out of roads and the possibility of maintaining a private right-of-way in the subdivision. On motion by Mr. Grebe,, seconded by Mr. Moisat it-was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board recommend to the Town Board the following changes in the "Rules and Regulations for the Subdivision of'Land": 1. The base fee shall be changed from .$25.00 to $50.00 for the first 10 acres of the subdivision, and changed from' $2. 00 to $5.00 for each additional acre over 10 acres. 2. On page 2r under PROCEDURES, Paragraph 3z the words "as well as the Town Clerk" shall be deleted. 3. Under Section 5, IMPROVEMENTS,. item 2,, g shall be made ga, and there shall be another part- added to be gb,, to read as follows: where surface is heavy loam or clay,, remove to sandy sub-soil and replace with two feet bank run. On page 7r; under item t.r it shall read: The minimum width of any pavement shall be twenty-four ,(24) feet. . 6.. On- page 7,, under item wr, it shall read: The minimum thickness for sidewalkst. shall be 4" of-concrete at 1.2:4; or equal. 7. Under' Section 9r. DETAILS OF: CONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENTSr item 2a the words "and the' Suffolk Coutty Water-'Authority"r shall be deleted. -Vote -of the Board: Ayes:-Mr. Wickhamr Mr. Moisa, Mr. Greber Mr.- Young', and Mr. Unkelbach.
