The Planning" Board received a petition signed by 18 heirs
or rightful owners of a cemetery plot known as ' "Latham Cemetery"
at Orient, who protest and object to the creating of roads
surrounding said cemetery -by- Edwin H. King or his successors.

the right for reasonable expansion. They feel the Planning
Board should abolish the East Road which is not necessary and
is not in keeping with the cemetery appearance.
After a. thorough discussion, on motion of Mr. Young, seconded
by Mr.. Unkelbach, it was
RESOLVED that a letter be forwarded to Irving Latham, who
represented the petitioners objecting to the road around the"Latham
Cemetery", advising that the Planning Board does not have the
authority to prohibit the construction of this road as it is
private property and Mr. King has not presented an application
for dedication of this highway, or a plan for a subdivision. It
was suggested that the petitioners contact Mr. King regarding ,a
mutual solution to this problem.

Grebe, Mr. Young, and Mr. Unkelbach.
Mr. Harold Wilsberg appeared before .the Planning Board
relative to a proposed subdivision to be started on the eatt side

approximately 48 lots, each containing at least- 20, 000 sq. ft. of
area. Mr. Wilsberg wished to have the Board=s 'opinion of the layout
before making arrangements to have the map redrawn for tentative
approval. The Planning Board found the map to be satisfactory,
but 'made a few suggestions relative to a tie-in with proposed
roads in the Dart property and Fairview Park.
Mr. Van Tuyl had prepared a layout of the Bayview Area showing

property, Wilsberg property and Goose Neck Estates.

Corporation reserve a 100 ft. by 100 ft. area on the water= off of
. . Snug Harbor Road and Osprey Nest Road for possible future dedication

area being reserved but Mr- Cornibert refused to sign it.
After a brief discussion with the Board and consultation with

the above action of the board and stating that the Planning Board
must be in receipt of a letter: acknowledging this condition by one

Mr. Wickham again brought- up -the matter of the Fleet property
on the west side Fleets Neck Road, south,, of Midwood Road and n:or.th..
Of Southern, Cross Road, Cutchogue. He proposed .leaving a portion
in the center of this area wooded and to be maintained. as a park,
excluding it 'from a subdivision map: The members of the Planning
Board advised against this proposal and stated it 'would be best to
file a subdivision map on the entire parcel. Mr. Van Tuyl stated
that he would begin working on a map for tentative approval.
When reading the minutes of December 5, 1961 the, matter of
:County Road New Suffolk Road was brought up.' The Chairman requested
that ' a letter be forwarded to H. M. Bishop, .'Commissioner, Suffolk
County Department of .Public Works.. Yaphank on. the subject of their.
requirement relative to settling basins. The Planning Board is
interested in seeing that a highway 'be put through at the west side
New Suffolk Road, New' Suffolk and the property of :Sophie Krukowski,
opposite School House Creek, and the Planning Board understands
that there were some requirements that the developer considered
prohibitive. The Planning Board has studied this situation and .
in view of the fact there is a culvert for salt water immediately
adjacent to this attachment it would seem drainage would present
no problem.
The Planning Board is interested in developing a highway across
this property_ (Krukowski) and adjoining property of George F.
Grathwohl connecting up with the existing Grathwohl Road along
