SOUTHOLD TOWN PLANNING BOARD
March 10, 1969
A regular meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board was held
at 7:30 P.M. , Thesddyy, March 10, 1969, , at the Town Office, Main Road,
Southold, New York
There were present : Messrs : John Wickham, Chairman; Henry Moisa,
Alfred Grebe, Frank Coyle.
Also present : Otto Vey, Van Tuyl; Consultant, Howard,Terry, Building Inspt.
Mr. Frank Zaleski appeared before the Planning Board in regard to
have the performance bond for the roads in Deep Hole. Creek Estates
reduced. Mr. Zaleski stated that the roads ..were.. almost completed., He
was advised that the Planning Board would need an estimate from Larry
Tuthill for the reduction, however the bond could be reduced pending this
estimate®
On notion by Mr. Moisa, seconded by Mr. Grebe, it was
RESOLVED that the performance bond for the completion of the roads
and other .work in Deep Hole Creek Estates, Mattituck, New York, owned
by Frank Zaleski, be reduced to $5,000.00
Vote of the Board : Ayes:- Mr. Wickham, Mr. Moisa, Mr. Grebe.
Southold Town Planning board -2- harch 10, 1969
A plan of property for Michael Zukas, Bayview, Southold was presented
to the Board for a minor subdivision. This. property contains approximaisly
four acres of land. There will be one lot on an existing road, and four
interior lots, All lots are over 20,000 square feet® This property is
shown on a map of Tisdale Property, map by Bbto W. Van Tuyl & Sons, map
dated June 27, 1957.
On motion by Irk. Moisa, seconded by Mr. Grebe,it was
RESOLVED that tentative approval be given to the property of Michael
Zukas, Bayview Southold, New York, for a minor subdivision as shown on the
map by Otto Van Tuyl & Son of Tisdale Property, map dated June 27, 1957.
Vote of the Board : Ayes:- Mr. Wickham, Mr. Moisa, Mr,, Grebe.
A map of Fishers Island Utility Co. was presented to the Board for
consideration as a minor' subdivision. This property contains three lots
on an existing public street and shown on a map by Chandler and Palmer,
map dated March 1966.
On motion by Mr. Moisa, seconded by Mr. Grebe, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board grant tentative
approval of the map of Fishers Island Utility Co. , as shown on a mpLp
by Chandler and Palmer, .map dated March_ , 1966, for a minor subdivision,
subject to the highways being built to the satisfaction of Raymond
Dean,. Superintendent of Highways, so that they may be dedicated to the
Town of Southold; and the submission of at least two copies of the final
map; and the filing of the application fee of $60.00.

The Planning Board received a letter of intent as to the park and
playground area for the subdivision to be known, as Soundcrest Woods, Section
I, owned by Robert R, Schroeder and others. Said letter dated February -5, 1969.
This subdivision has met all preliminary requirements of the Planning Board.
On motion by Iv1r. Grebe, seconded by Mr. Moisa, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town PlanningBoard set 7:30 P.M. , Monday,
April 14, 1969, at the Town Office., Main Road_, Southold, New York, as the
time andplace of hearing upon the question_ of approval of the following
plat :
Plat of property owned by Robert R. Schroeder and others, entitled
Soundcrest Woods, Section I, consisting of a parcelof land of 10.177 acres,
situated at East Maribn, in the Town of Southold, Suff olk,County, New Yorke
Vote of the Board : Ayes:- Mr. Wickham, Mr, Moisa, Mr. Coyle
Mr. Grebe.

On motion by Mr. Moisa, seconded by Mr. Grebe, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board set 8:00 P,M- ,
Monday, April 14,1969) as the time and place of hearing upon the question
of approval of the following plat :
Plat of property owned by South Parish Realty Company,. Lefferts P.
Edson, Partner, entitled Highwood, condisting of a parcel of land of 5.978
acres, situated in Southold, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New
York, and bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a poi.nt• on the southerly line of North Bayview Road,
426,20 feet .easterly along said southerly line from Summer Lane; from said
point of beginning running along said southerly line of North Bayview Road,
two courses: (1) S. 74° 54 t 30" E.- 143.90 feet; thence (2) S.. 75° 15' 4011
E.- 169.77 feet; thence along the several lands of Gritz, Schumann, Menni.ng,
Dahl and Thoraldsen, S, 250 19t 50" W.- 904.03 feet; thence along land of
Hunter, N, 820 19' 10" W. - .268.71 feet; thence along land of Isemman, N. 220
06' 00" S.- 930.28 feet to the point of beginning.

On motion by Mr. Coyle, seconded by Mr. Moisa, it was
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Southold Town Planning Board dated
rebruary .4, 1969, be approved as submitted,
Vote of the Board : Ayes :- Mr, Wickham, Mr. Moisa, Mr. Coyle, Mr. Grebe'.
Correspondence was read by theChairman. A letter from Cornell
University in regard to Negative Easement Open Spaces Program was read
item by item. Said letter is on file in the Office of the Planning Board.
The Chairman was authorized to communicate with Cornell University in
regard to having their attorney prepare a sample contract form for the
Town of Southold in regard to negative easement open spaces program,
The next regular meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board will
be held at 7:30 P.M. , Monday, April 14, 1969, at the Town Office, Main
Road, Southold; New York,
The meeting wad adjourned at 9:00 P.M,
