Southold Town Planning Board
July 211 1959
A regular meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board was
held Tuesday, July 21, 1959, 7:30 P.M. , at the Town Clerk's
Office, Main Road, Southold, New York,
There were present: Messrs. John Wickham, Chairman , Henry
Moisa, Alfred Grebe , and Archibald Your .
Also present: Messrs . Howard Terry, Building Inspector, Otto
Van Tuyl, Consulting Engineer, and Robert Tasker, Town Attorney.
Notice was received from the Southold Town Board indicating
that change of zone from "A" Residential-Agricultural to 1:B"
Business was granted on the petition of Robert H. Preston and
LaGrant Chapman, effective July 30, 1959•
The minutes of the meeting of July 8, 1959, on motion of
1v1r. Grebe, seconded by Mr. . Young and carried, were approved as
submitted,
The Rules and. Regulations for the Subdivision of Land of
the East Hampton, Long Island, Planning Board were received by
this Planning Board and reviewed and discussed by the members.

The Planning Board received "Check List for the Surveyors in
the Filing of Subdivision Maps with the Suffolk County Clerk's
Office " from the Map Department, Suffolk County Clerk's Office,
Riverhead, New York. Members of the Board studied this check list
and discussed same.
The tentative Revised Rules and Regulations for the Subdivision
of Land for the Town of Southold were discussed. Mr. Robert Tasker,
Tom Attorney, reviewed the Rules and Regulations with the Board and
made corrections and additions. A preamble was compared and in-
corporated in the Rules and Regulations.
After a, thorough study and discussion of the Revised Rules
and Regulations it was decided that the Secretary would prepare
a master copy of the rules for the next meeting, when it would be
completely reviewed.
The next meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board will be
held Tuesday, Augusut 4, 1959, 7:30 P.M. , at the Town Clerk's Off ice ,
Main Road, Southold, New York.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
