A Special meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board was held at
4:30 P.M. , at the office of Yx. Van Duzer.
Members present: Mr. Van Duzer, Mr. Reeve, Iv1r. Moisa and
Mr. Wickham.
The board studied the petition of Fred Young of Southold in regard
to his Marina property at Arshamomoque which he would like zoned 04B"
Business. Mr. Van Duzer, having inspected the property, reported favor-
ably and the Board went over the blueprints in detail. By unanimous
vote the board adopted the following resolution:
RESOLVED, That the Southold 'down Planning Board recommend that this
property be zoned "BIT Business.
The board studied the petition of I.largaret Roache of New Suffolk
requesting change of zone of her property there to "B" Business to
accommodate a Motel. Mr. Reeve and Mr. Wickham, having looked at this
property, gave reports and the board took the following unanimous action:
RESOLVED, That the Southold Town Planning board recommend to the
Southold Town Board that this property be zoned "B" Business.
The board studied the request of Margery Burns, Southold, that her
property "Sunset Knoll", at the Sound, be declared an open development
area and the entire board visited this development and, after careful
consideration, cannot recommend this action to the Town Board.
The board also studied the preliminary plot of "Orient by the Sea"
in Orient, as well as inspecting the site. The layout and plans appear
acc eptable and will be made a matter of discussion at our next regular
meeting to be held May 28, 1957 at 4 P.M.
