Reeve Southold Town Planning Board Charles Van Duzer Henry Moisa June 18, 1957 Alfred Grebe A regular meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board was held at the Greenport office at 4P.M. on June 18, 1957. There were present: Mr. John Wickham, Chairman, Mr. Harold R. Reeve, Mr. Henry Moises and Mr. Alfred Grebe. Absent: Mr. Charles Van Duzer Also present: Mr. Otto Van Tuyl and Mr. Howard Terry, Building Inspector. Minutes of the May 28th meeting were read by the Clerk. On motion made by Mr. Grebe, seconded by Mr. Reeve and carried,minutes were approved as corrected. T he board studied petition of Charles 0. and Florence A. Ziegler, Bay Avenue, East Marion — Property on Marion Lake. Petition to change from "A" Residential to " 1311 Business in order that three duplex cottages can be erected on property. Sketch of buildings and sketch of property with a layout accompanied petition. Property consists of 3001 on water and 2951 on the road. Three trailers now on location and sewage disposal has never been approved. On motion made by Mr. Reeve and seconded by Mr. Grebe, board adopted the following resolution: EESOLVED, That this matter be laid on the table pending further study by the Southold Tovm Planning Board. Board studied petition of Horace Kyser, accompanied by check No. 708, for a change of zone from "A" Residential to 11311 Business. Mr. Ryser wishes to erect modern service and gasoline station on plot 1501 x 1251 on Main Road and Locust Lane, Southold. On Motion made by Mr. Moisa and seconded by Mr. Grebe, it was RESOLVED, That the Town Planning Board recommend to the Southold Town. Board that this action be taken. Board then studied petition from Anthony J. Leanza, attorney for Dawn Estates, Inc., Mattituck, accompanied by check go, 794. Petition for change of zone from "A" Residential to uCn Industrial on five acres of unimproved property. On motion made by Mr. Reeve and seconded by Mr. Moisa, board unanimously adopted the following resolution: 2 — Southold Town Planning Board June 18, 1957 MINUTES, Continued RESOLVED, That the Town Planning Board recommend to the Southold Town Board that this property be zoned 11C11 Industrial. The board then reviewed registered letter, dated May 28, 1957, from Ernest G. Radford, East Marion, and discussion was held regarding Mr.. Radford' s request that his property be classified as 11B11 Business zone. It was decided to acknowledge Mr. Radfordts letter advising that petition would have to be filed for this change of zone. On motion made by Mr. Grebe and seconded by Mr. R eeve, it was RESOLVED, That this matter be held over until the next meeting. Board discussed with Mr. Terry undersized lots, numbered 14 to 25, owned by Stanley Sledzieski, Ruth Road, Mattituck. Mr. Sledzieski had presented tentative layout and wanted to know if he lengthened the depth of his lots to 1251 whether the width would receive approval of the board. It was the judgement of the board that it would be more satisfactory, both for Mr. Sledzieski and for the best interest of the Town of Southold, if Mr. Slezieski would decrease lots 14 to 25 by one lot, thus increasing these lots in width., maintaining 1251 in depth. Discussion was held on property of Mr. V. P. Moore, corner of Bowery Lane, Lower Road and Main Road, Southold. Mr. Moore would like to be in 11811 Business zone and questions whether he is. Mr. Reeve is to notify Mr. Moore that since area in question is not now zoned as 11811 it will be necessary for him to file petition with the T own Board. Board unanimously agreed that the next regular meeting is to be held on Tuesday, July 2, 1957, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, at the Greenport office. Notice to be sent to members of the board a few days in advance of maeting. Minutes of .this meeting to be sent out by clerk, upon completion, without formal approval. Meeting adjourned at 5:45 P. M.
