Reeve ��EII€sX�trinAIIr Henry Moisa Southold Town Planning Board .Alfred Grebe T. Paul Montgomery November 19, 1957 A regular meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board was held at 7:30 P. Pd. on Tuesday. November 19, 1957, at the Town Clerkts Office in Southold,N. Y. There were present: Mr. .John VTickham Mr. Harold R. Reeve Mr. Henry Mo i sa Mr. T. Paul Montgomery Absent: Mr. Alfred Grebe Also present were: Mr. Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector Mr, Harold W. Price, Supt. of Highways Minutes of the October 29th meeting were read by the Clerk. There being no corrections or omissions, on motion made by Mr. Moisa, seconded by Mr. Reeve, and carried, minutes were approved. Board reviewed petition of Angelo G. and Georgette Petrucci for a change of the Zoning Ordinance from "A" Residential and Agricultural to "Bu Business District property situated at Bay Avenue, Peconic, N. Y., described as Parcel One and Parcel �Wp4 It was the unanimous decision of the Board RESOLVED, That the Planning Board recommend to the Town Board, immediately, that the petitioners want to withdraw Parcel One, and in view of the fact that they are presently requesting that all of Parcel Two be changed to 1IBn Business District the Planning Board is not willing to recommend this change of zone. It was FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Planning Board advise the Town Board that this petition was covered in their report to the Town Board of October 31, 1957, and that an investigating committee has visited the property in question on three separate occasions. 2 Planning Board November 19, 1957 MIELTES, Continued Board studied petition of Susan H. and Raymond W. Terry to establish an "Open Development Area" under the provisions of Section 280—a of theTown Law of the State of New York. Description of property: East Side ofthe Main Road in the Westerly part of hamlet of Southold. About 22 acres, bounded on North by Louis E. Baker, on East by Caroline Korn, on South by Jockey Creek and on West by Main Road, Wm. Rasch and G. W. Smith& Sons. Easement on North side of 501 road shown on map of Long Island Lighting Co. Also use of 501 road to property owners. It was RESOLVED, That the Planning Board recommend to the Town Board approval of the access to this property, with a suggestion that provisions be made to reserve one hundred (100) feet on the water for future access. Board reviewed petition of Helen Cochran to establish an "Open Development Area" under the provisions of Section 280—a of the Town Law of the State of New York. Description of property: Map of Terry Waters, Bay View, Southold, N. Y. Mr. Van Duzer had visited the site and presented a report in which he recommended that the map be approved. It was the unanimous decision of the Board RESOLVED That the Planning Board recommend to the Town Board approval of access of map of Terry Waters, Bay View, Southold, IT. Y., with suggestion that one hundred (100) feet on the water be reserved for future access. Board studied revision_.of the Trailer Camp Ordinance of June 1953, submitted by the Board of Appeals and it was the feeling of the Planning Board that it should be rewritten before it is submitted to the Town Board, with copies made for each member of the Planning Board. The Chairman asked Mr. Terry to con— tact Mr. Rosenberg and have it taken care of. Mr. Terry then reported on Sand, Gravel and Fill Pit operations in the Town of Southold and presented the following list: 1. Irving Latham, East Marion & Southold Sand, gravel and fill 2. Eastern Excavation, Orient 3. Muir Bros. , East Marion Sand, gravel and fill 4. Schroder Bros. , Greenport 5. N. Mazzaferro & Sons, Greenport Sand, gravel and fill 6. Wesley Bednoski, Southold Sand, gravel and fill 7. Julius Zebroski, Bayview Road,Southold Sand, gravel and fill 8. G. W. Smith & Soon, Southold Fill 9. Donald Robinson, Cutchogue Sand, gravel, fill and topsoil 10. Angelo Petrucci, Cutehogue Fill and topsoil 11. E. Zaneski, Cutchogue 12. Russell Tuthill, Mattituck Sand, gravel, fill and topsoil 13. Fishers Island Estates, Fishers Island T CC 3 Planning Board November 19, 1957 MINUTES, Continued The Chairman requested the Clerk to send the following letter to the above list of sand and gravel operators: "In order to complete our records you are requested to furnish this Board, within thirty (30) days, the following information: Complete map of your present sand, gravel, fill or topsoil operation together with access thereto - roads, right of way, etc. Indicate the names of adjoining property owners. Also indicate the date you acquired the property and the date you began operations. Please state whether you prefer this property to be zoned °B-# Business, "C° Industrial or "A" Residential and Agricultural, Non-conforming. This statement should be notarized. It is to your advantage to have this record in our files. If you have any questions regarding this matter please contact Mr. Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector, Town of Southold."
