Paul Montgomery A regular meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board was held at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 17, 1957, in the Town Clerkts office, Southold, N. Y. .There were present: Mr. John Wickham, Chairman Mr. Harold R. Reeve Mr. Henry F. Moisa Mr. Alfred Grebe Absent: Mr. T. Paul Montgomery Also present: Mr. Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector Minutes of the December 3rd meeting were read by the Clerk. It was the decision of the Board to delete the following words from the first paragraph on Page 3 of the minutes: "Lot north of Roussin lot on west side of". On motion made by Mr. Grebe, seconded by Mr. Reeve and carried, Minutes were approved as corrected. Discussion was held regarding letter received from Mr. Uhl's attorney in regard to "Orient—by—the—Sea, Section III and the Chairman dictated a letter to the Clerk to be sent to lr. Froehlich in reply to his letter of November 26th. Letter from Fishers Island Estates to be held over until some future meeting at which time the Board will discuss same along with other replies from other gravel pit operators. A lengthy discussion was then held on the December 16th meeting in Huntington on I'Report and Proposed County Charterif offered to the People of Suffolk County by The Suffolk County Citizens Charter Committee. A report was given by Mr. Reeve, Mr. Terry and Mr. Grebe who attended the meeting. A letter was dictated to the Clerk covering an informal expression of the opinion of the Board in regard to the proposed Charter. Letter to be sent to The Town' of Huntington Planning Board with a copy to the Suffolk County Planning Board. Southold. Town Planning Board December 17, 1957 MINUTES. Continued Petition of Felix and Nellie Doroski for a chaaige of zone from "All Residen— tial and Agricultural tol'311 Business district was discussed. Property located at Main Rd, Cutchogue, N.Y., North: M. Doroski Estate, East: M. Doroski Estate, South: Rte 25 and West: E. Austin. It was RESOLVED, That this change of zone be recommended to the Town Board for approval. Petition of John J. Koroleski, Jr. of Mattituck, N. Y. for a change of zone from "An Residential and Agricultural to "Bn Business district certain real property situated at 182 Sound Ave., Mattituck, N. Y., bounded and described as follows: East by Mary Doroski, South by Sound Ave. 300 feet, Vilest by right of way and North by right of way. It was RESOLVED, That the Planning Board recommend to the Mown Board that this change of zone be granted to a depth of two hundred (200) feet. The Board then discussed petition of Charles A. Cornibert, President of Cleaves Point Corporation for a change of zone from "All Residential and Agricul— tural to I1311 Business district on premises located at East Marion, N. Y., des— cribed as follows: About 600 feet on the Main Road for a depth of 250 feet and about 850 feet on Shipyard Lane and other lands of petitioner between those two frontages. It was RESOLVED, That this is too extensive an area and, in line with our past recommendations in this regard, the Planning Board is not willing to recommend to the Town Board this change of zone. Mr. Terry presented the following two names to be added to the list of Sand, Grave, Fill Pits and Topsoil Operations in the Town of Southold and the Clerk was directed to send out the usual form letter to complete our files: Edwin King, Orient, N. Y. , and Michael Morris, Southold.Fishing Station, Southold, N.Y. The next meeting of the Planning Board is to be held on Monday, January 13, 1958. Meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
