RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby-creates a
Southold town Police Advisory Committee to provide recommendations to the
Town Board on suggested ways In which the Town Board, In Its role as
Police Commissioners,. can most effect ye y and efficiently review the
operation of the Town Police DeparfJean~. Tho role of the committee Is to
work In cooperation and in conjunction with the Southold Town 'Police chief
to Identity areas In which cheng&s :and/er Impr. ovoments can be ma~e to
assure that the Town pci Ce force s as eff~ctlve In del verlng its service~
and perf.o, rming Its: role .for Town res~d.e, nt~S as Is p~sslble;,and..be It
FURTHER I~ESOLVED that the, Southold Town Potlce AdvisorY Committee:
shall Ronslst of,,slx (6} members= Chief of Police, One., (1) ~'oWnl Board
member, and fo~r (~:) members of 'the Publ, c, who will serve, without
compensation.
