Due to the lack of facilities where we can hold programs and activities (schools are
closed for the summer and are not available), we were not able to offer some new
programs. Hopefully, with the new recreation facility next door due to open soon, we
won't run into this problem.
The brochure will be an insert in the Thursday, May 19th edition of The Suffolk Times.
SUMMER SWIMMING LESSONS: Letters were mailed out to the Mattituck Park
District, Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park District, and the Southold Park District requesting
permission to use their beaches this summer for our swimming lessons. Our thanks goes
out to all three districts for their continued support in allowing us to use their bay beaches
year after year.
2011 SUMMER SEASONAL STAFF: Letters were mailed to all 2010 summer staff
deemed worthy to be asked to work again this year. We have enough lifeguards to staff
our beaches but still need a few more beach attendants. Interviews have been scheduled
for Thursday, May 12 at the recreation center.
Respectfully Submitted,
