Dear Sirs:
I am in receipt of notice of a petition to the Southold Town Board
of Appeals concerning a zoning variance being sought on a parcel
of property adjacent to one that I own. The petitioners are Nick
and Ann.&Paleors; and the Suffolk Tax Map number of the land involved
is'"'100`0-52-2-013 .
Since I live in North Carolina, it would not be convenient for me
to visit your office in order to examine the relevant documents .
I am writing to find out whether you would be able to send me copies
of several items I feel I need in order to know whether to support
or oppose this petition. I would, of course, pay for all costs
involved in making this accomodation. I would require the following:
(a) a copy of that portion of the tax map which shows
the location of the petitioners ' property relative
to mine;
(b) a copy of the AR80 zoning ordinance; and.
(c) copies of Article I, Section 106-20 and Article III,
Section 100-31 of the Southold Tom Zoning Code.
I would also be interested in finding out what my 'parcel , Tax Map
number 1000-52-2-014, is zoned.
I appreciate any assistance you are able to give me. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Meredith Brady

REASON FOR APPEAL Continued
1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulties or unneces-
sary HARDSHIP because all surrounding residential .properties
are of equal size as lots applied for in subdivision application
and have existing residences already approved.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shared by all properties alike in the immediate
vicinity of this property and in this use district because this parcel is the only
remaining underdeveloped land in the surrounding area.
3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT. because is has already been established by
surrounding residential lots of a size and .character equal to
that proposed by applicant.

REASON FOR APPEAL
( ) A Variance to Section 280A Subsection 3
( ]0 A Variance to the Zoning Ordinance ; I wish to build a temporary garage
( ) to store a .Volkswagen automobile until such time as I can Build
is requested for the reason that
a dwelling on this lot S/S North Road (CR27) , at the head of
Mill Creek, Southold, N.Y.
Form ZB1 (Continue on other side)

REASON FOR APPEAL Continued
1. .STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulties or unneces-
sary'H3kRDSHIP because ; The temporary. garage is to be located close to the
property line of both. intersecting private. right of ways,. .this will
not harm the charicertof the neighborhood and will enable us to get
in' and out without having to pave a driveway which will not be. used
for the permanent dwelling proposed to be built in the future.
The garage- will- be used to store temporarily our volkswagen car
as there is insufficient room for a garage on our lot on the north road.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is.not shared by all properties. alike in the immediate
vicinity of this property and in this use district because ; This property has been divided
and redivided many' times by `thd previdus owner, resulting in an odd
'shaped lot having a small, rear yard fronting on Mill creek which would
be inadequate and inaccessable for a vehicle.
3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because . We propose to build a perminent home
on this lot some time in the not too distant future, and the temporary use
will not harm the neighborhood in the meantimei
