SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2004
A Special Meeting of the SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD OF APPEALS was held at the
Southold Town Annex (NFB) Building, 54375 Main Road, Southold, New York 11971-0959, on
Monday December 29, 2004 commencing at 6:00 p.m.
Present were:
Vincent Orlando, Vice Chairman/Member
Gerard P. Goehringer, Member
James Dinizio, Member
Linda Kowalski, ZBA Confidential Secretary
Absent:
Ruth D. Oliva, Chairwoman/Member
Lydia A. Tortora, Member
5:58 p.m. Vice Chairman Orlando called the meeting to order.
AGENDA ITEMS: The Board proceeded with the.FOLLOWING items:
PUBLIC HEARING: Written testimony in lieu of extensive oral testimony is requested and
appreciated. All testimony shall be limited to zoning issues properly before the Board.
PETER W. GAILLARD #5631. (Carryover from 12/16): Request for Variance under
Section 100-244, based on the Building Department's December 24, 2003 Notice of
Disapproval concerning an "as built" deck addition at less than 35 feet from the front yard
line, at Mansion House Drive, FI; CTM 6-5-8. (Photos taken 12/26 and provided by ZB
Member; Applicants ask if the Board would render a decision based on record as
submitted due to distance in traveling from Connecticut.) BOARD RESOLUTION:
Motion was offered by Member Goehringer, seconded by Member Orlando to close the
hearing. Vote of the Board: All. This resolution was duly adopted (3-0). Chairwoman
Oliva and Member Tortora were absent.

adopted (3-0). Chairwoman Oliva and Member Tortora were absent.
Brief reviews of pending files and general discussion by Board Members followed.
There being no other business properly coming before the Board at this time, Acting
Chairman Orlando declared the meeting adjourned. The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
