Meeting of October 21, 1948
A special meeting of the Southold. 2'own Board was held at , the office
of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp, at Greenport, on Thursday, October
219 1948. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the
following present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry; Tuthill and
G\rT Clark; Town Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry
and Town Clerk Booth.
The purpose of this meeting was for the Town Board to- approve
certain roads throughout the Town and to approve a map of Capt.
Kids Estates for sub-division purposes, said map was not approved
until certain corrections have been made.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill::
.. Resolved:. That inasmuch as the required dedications have been
received and map of same duly filed and the necessary papers signed,
the Town Board take over and work as a public highway a proposed road
subject to agreement with Mrs. W.C. Case and Mrs. Edna Broom to -
furnish 6 000 sq. yards of fill or as much as necessary to complete
a proposed road to extend from N.Y. State Route 25 to highwayter
mark at Pipes Neck Cove, west of the Village of Greenport.
Unanimously adopted.
Moved ' by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That inasmuch as the required dedications have been
' received, map of same duly filed and the necessary papers signed, the
Town Board take over and maintain as public highways, subject to
agreement, Richmond Road and West Mill Creek Drive, at Arshamomoque.
Unanimously adopted.
Chief of Police Otto L. Anrig presented the Police schedule for the com-
ing month.
Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
r � Resolved: That the schedule of ,work submitted by the Police Dept.
r from Nov. 8 to Dec. 5, 1948, be accepted by the Town Board and
placed on file.
Unanimously adopted..
_4 A communication was read from the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce

requesting an additional street light on East Legion Ave.
Moved by Justice' Tuthill; seconded by Justice Terry:
Resolved: That the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to request
the Long -Island Lighting Co. to install one (1) additional street
light in the Mattituck Lighting District No. 1 at Mattituck' said
light to be placed on pole No. 8 which is located on the east side
of East Legion Ave..
Unanimously adopted.
A communication was read from Mrs . Susan Neary, requesting an additional
street light on Old Shipyard Lane, Southold.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry:
Resolved: That the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to request the
Long Island Lighting Co. to- install one (1) additional street light in
the Southold Lighting Dist. , said light to be placed on pole No . 13 on Old
Shipyard Lane, Founders Estates, Southold.
Unanimously adopted.

- ' Resolved: That the Super-tisor be authorized to have a suitable sign
� y made and erected at the entrance to the Town Dump,requesting the public
' to abide by the instructions thereon.
Unanimously adopted.
