A special meeting of the Southold Town 'Board was held at the office
of Supervisor Norman E,. K1ipp, .at Greenport on Monday, August 16,
1948. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following
present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry; Tuthill; Albertson and
Clark; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Boothe,
The purpose of the meeting was that the Town Board approve the
redraft of the contract between the Fishers Island Ferry District and
the U.S. Army.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark:
-= + WHEREAS, by Resolution dated May 21, 19489 the Town Board of the Town
of Southold approved a certain contract entered into between the
Fishers Island Ferry District and the Unted States of America
•r,, (Department of the Army) (#W30-052-TC-511-48) and
WHEREAD the said Fishers Island Ferry District has agreed upon and
approved certain amendments to said contract, including the addition
of artical D-11 Sub-contracts, the extention of said agreement for
one year commencing July 1, 1948? and the renumbering of said con-
tract tract to be (W30'-315 T (A. A-1)-13
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That in view of the exigencies of
the situation, the Town Board approve and it hereby does approve .
the acts of the Fishers Island Ferry District ,in entering Into
said contract as amended.
Unanimously adoptede
The Town Clerk was- instructed to notify A. John Gada, Hans C.
Hansen, Lawrence S. Baldwin Leland H. Goss, and Serge Doyen, Sr.
that they 'were elected commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry
District at the annual meeting held on Aug. 10, 1948, and .to notify
Mrs. Mildred E. Andrews that she was no longer a commissioner of
the Fishers Island Ferry. District.
